Their title is Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They are miles from any border and aren't at a any other port of entry for goods or personnel, in suburban Minnesota.

Ok, so they're not detaining illegal aliens?  Do you have to be at the border to detain illegal aliens?

Previous administrations, especially Biden's, blew it at the border so now ICE has to be in Minnesota. 

Most of them are probably ex-military so they have a fair bit of training in organization and following orders.  They have been showing exceptional restraint when faced with none-too-nonviolent protesters.  Although I do wish the latest shooting would be closely investigated and prosecuted if necessary.

It's precisely the lack of law enforcement that made the situation dangerous enough that people are getting shot.  

What if Renee Good had known she was going to wind up in prison if she tried to shove an ICE agent out of the way with her SUV?

What if Alex Pretti had been arrested for kicking the taillight out of an ICE vehicle which was trying to leave?

Not that it excuses the shooting, but he should have been in jail and had his CWP reviewed for attacking federal agents and assault.

The illegal aliens with no (derp) "criminal" records would be smaller if the sanctuary states would cooperate with ICE and turn them over at the jail.

Instead, the sanctuary states release them, then when ICE gets the criminal, they don't ignore all the other illegals who haven't killed anyone, they take them all.

This is only the first video which popped up when I searched "open borders" on Youtube.  There are plenty of people who were there and seem to think you are wrong.  How do you arrive at your wild guesses?

Many on the left aren't denying it as you have irrationally chosen to do.  They are defending open borders as a human right.

There is something happening here. People mostly on the left have decided their feelings are more important than free debate. Look at Charlie Kirk. Maybe the schools are simply indoctrinating the kids instead of teaching reasoning skills.

It is possible a few rich are getting cheap labor and passing a large part of the bill on to taxpayers and at the same time indoctrinating the public to think they are fighting for America. The dumbing down of education may be to blame. There is evidence that dark money is funding the protests. Renee Good was unemployed. My guess is many of them are. The goal may be to make it look cool to be like Alex Pretti and kick ICE agents' truck all the while pursuing policies which will wind up hurting their chances of keeping a good job with decent pay.

They are as much 'the police or the FBI' as mall security, or Parks and Wildlife, or Animal Control.

The domain of the operations and authority of ICE is clear and does not cover the arrest or harassment of people who have not committed infractions against immigration and customs laws.

I feel confident in saying that because there are already real actual police officers and real actual FBI officers there, in all the locations where ICE have operated., still doing their jobs, and still investigating crimes, and making arrests and still, also, drawing their wages.

Additionally, I have a strong suspicion that many ICE officers were once members of far-right domestic terrorist groups. The background checks for other existing agencies would have outed and excluded them but ICE fits their racist agendas. So they have become a tool of the far-right, and not non-partisan officers serving the letter of the law.
