I can't see the video but was the gun left on his car seat?

That's probably a pic of the gun on the seat of an officers car after it was made safe. I don't think they would have put it back in the suspect vehicle.

Do they not evidence bag them right away to avoid contaminated evidence?

Maybe, but we just don't know yet?

He seems to have been wrestled to the ground and being restrained by several agents when he was shot multiple times.  Was he a threat at that point?  I don't know.

I think they photograph it first ?

I'm not sure, but I think they take pictures first for evidence.

Could be.

I imagine they would make sure no rounds were chambered.

Take pics and bag the thing, but the pics would be on scene for context as opposed to a seat in another vehicle, would they not?

Placing it somewhere like that, unbaged, would seem to possibly contaminate the evidence.

Just spitballing all the same.

I don't know what the procedure would entail if im honest.

This is gonna be a clusterf**k no matter what. There's a lot of "ifs" to be ironed out.

IF he was reaching for the weapon, he may have accidentally discharged it and that's why he was shot.

IF an officer saw he was armed and panicked then shot him.

IF it was an accidental discharge from him being thrown on the ground and the officers then shot him.

That's a Sig P226. Not known for accidental discharges, but IF he was carrying "cocked and locked" and the safety was disengaged in the struggle.....

LOTS of questions with this one.

Yep.  Lots of ifs.  So far at least.

If he had that gun out and in his hand while approaching the officers, that's a clean shoot.

I can't think of a dumber move than to walk toward cops who are already in a bad situation with a gun in your hand.

The dude approached the cops with a weapon.

Looks like another FAFO.
