Unfortunately, we don't do all that well in the UK...

The hazards of international business, I guess

For years, we've been told our designs are too long-legged, thighs are too big, and have way too much material in the crotch for the average Brit, and most European countries, for that matter, except Italy.

That's Japan innit ? From what I hear you could get them out of vending machines at one time, but now you have to order online.

That's just nasty.

Trillions were lost on the stock exchanges with implementation of stupidly excessive tariffs.

2025 stock market crash

And now he's made back a few billion. Whoop.

It's probably like his brilliant 'price reductions'.

Trump says he’s cut drug prices by up to 1,500%. That’s not possible

Trump can't math.

That is a midwit talking point. The fact is that some prescription drugs cost 15x as much in the USA than they do in some overseas markets. That's a 1500% markup. Yes, it's not technically correct to say that establishing price parity is "a 1500% cut" instead of "reducing the 1500% markup to 0%". However normal people can easily understand it, and so can moderately intelligent people. Only midwits with an agenda latch on to it as a gotcha, rather than focusing on the underlying point of actually trying to help people with cost of care, instead of scoring pretend political points.

"Trade deficits are neither inherently good nor bad; their impact depends on the underlying economic conditions, potentially signaling strong demand and investment (good) or declining competitiveness and excessive borrowing (bad). A deficit means a country imports more than it exports, often funded by foreign investment, offering consumers more goods but potentially harming domestic industries if it reflects structural issues like low productivity or unsustainable spending. "

Your wisdom is?

My wisdom? Don't rely on AI to make an argument for you. That goes for anyone, OP included.

Are they really though? Or do you just dislike being called out like that?

I am not relying on AI.

AI summary enhanced my point of view, added related facts to the discussion

I highlighted the pertinent part of the AI that I believe is correct and germane for the discussion. Both pro and con aspects of the trade deficit

If Im wrong, point out where Im wrong?

Instead of blanket statements, "don't rely on AI to make an argument for you."

Point out where AI is wrong in my highlighted sections with respect to the trade deficit. Im here to learn

I was making my own complete arguments on Prodigy and Compuserve boards when you were still banging cheerleaders

I didn't knew this word so I searched the meaning:

A "midwit" is an internet slang term for someone of average or slightly above-average intelligence who mistakenly believes they are exceptionally smart, often leading them to hold overly simplistic or contrarian views with unwarranted confidence, frequently echoing mainstream opinions or trendy ideas found online. They are characterized by acting intellectually superior while missing nuances, overcomplicating simple ideas, or applying logic in areas where they lack true understanding, making them seem arrogant.
Key Characteristics of a Midwit:
Average Intellect: Neither a genius nor a fool, but stuck in the middle of the intellectual curve.
Overconfidence: Thinks they're brilliant and have profound insights, often on topics they've just learned about.
Lack of Nuance: Struggles with complexity, sometimes mistaking it for intelligence, or failing to grasp cultural context.
Social Conformity: Tends to adopt popular or "intellectual-sounding" opinions, especially those seen on social media, presenting them as original.
Verbose & Overly Analytical: Uses complex language or lengthy explanations for simple concepts, often ending with a shrug or simple conclusion.

Yeeeaap. That's a midwit  Lol
