The only thing you posted that was interesting in a non bias fashion was his personal interview and the medical information about mental illness which I have not gotten to because I am working :D
But surely you can see that what you have posted and chosen to focus on presents a negative light almost as if done purposefully?

You are only looking for the negative from what I can see.

Everyone is free to define Dali their own way, but I want to learn his symbolism in his artwork, so I need to explore what Dali says about himself, as well as what others said about him. This video let's you make up your mind.

Now, as I look at this work, I only see the missing swastika on the nurse's arm band and the history behind that omission. As to the reason why Dali left it out is not really answered.

MOD. NOTE

The topic has taken an interesting turn, however, it would be nice to keep the discussion in line with the OP.

Please continue the Dalí deep dive in a new thread.

Further off topic posts will be removed.

Thanks

I will tell you that I knew he was nuts when I went and saw his work. He had a painting that was so big you needed a ladder to paint parts of it.

With all his crazy detail he would have to stand on a ladder for a long time lol!

I love his artistic brain. His coo coo side makes him him but that should be left locked up! Lol

I must have misunderstood that you and I were on a discovery quest of him and his symbolism.

As a student of art and art history, I tend to want to understand the artist and not just look at an artist's work and use emotions or bias to interpret it.

Anyway, I'll keep my explorations and thoughts about Dali to myself, unless you tell me otherwise.
