After looking at a couple of videos, it almost looks like the flaps were not extended for take off.
Maybe someone with a better knowledge of 787 configurations could say for sure. In the picture on this website of the plane, there is no flaps down. https://www.wionews.com/india-news/ahmed...9732716698

Miraculously, 2 survivors have been found.
Edit: A GB NEWS headline misleadingly mentioned "Two survivors found in miracle discovery" but this was wrong. Just the one survivor.
