I suppose I should jump into the water here.
Haven't been swimming in decades.
Just woke up from a dream.
Setting: Family reunion
Characters: Family members, including my dad who died 8 years ago.
So my sister was wearing full length denim pants and scuba tank. I don't know what the heck I was wearing. We jump into the salt water to swim to the island not visible because of the slight fog.
The water was so buoyant that I easily breast stroked with my hands out of the water, frog kick only. The coolest part of the dream. Got to the other side where there were picnic tables. Looked over to the right to see the road that connected to the mainland. It wasn't an island after all, it was a strand.
So I exclaimed to a guy I thought was a relative, "We could have driven! Look! The road."
He looked a bit confused and went to his table (which wasn't my "families" table). So I thought, "Oh, not family".
Long story short: None of the people were my family. They were actors. And in hind sight they didn't resemble any of my family members. Strangers.
It took longer than usual for me to realize that this pleasant dream was yet a subtle variation of a recurring nightmare theme.
Moral of the dream: enjoy the swimming regardless.
------
Oh yeah, topic speedos.
I could have been wearing speedos.
Nobody knows.

There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama
