Okay, true they have sharp edges that can cause more damage. This person could have per-existing medical condition or it could have been excessive force but without more information we can't really say either way, but since everyone was ready to scream excessive force without any evidence, I'll take the side of the agent, that he used the proper amount of force for the situation and that the agent is innocent of any wrong doing, unless you can prove he is not.
