The law she was charged with with is possessing an offensive weapon. Where if law enforcement found out you carried an every day knife or a hatchet for selfdefense, you can be charge with possessing an offensive weapon
There is no needing to brandish or threatening to be charged. Just carrying the hatchet for self defense will get you the same charge as the girl. Is that a false statement.
