Trump says something hit and caused fires

I can't believe I'm coming to Trump's defense, but he didn't say something hit it.  

He said it "looks like" something hit it.  The something he is referring to is a nuclear bomb and the fire storm that comes after it.  

That's a reasonable comparison, but he's not saying a nuclear bomb actually hit it.

I’m not attacking Trump, so no need to defend anything. ;)

I never got any hint he’s talking about a nuclear bomb…

He is saying something hit it "we won’t talk about what hit it" direct quote meaning he said something hit it.

I’m guessing he’s blaming China.
