Polar vortex the Sky is falling

The polar vortex is an awesome scientific phenomenon that results from Sudden Stratospheric Warming over the North Pole every winter, which pushes more cold air southward.

How in the name of Heaven does the stratospheric air over the North Pole warm up in January when the Sun never hits it???

It’s a mind baffling miracle!

There is a lot of ozone that gets produced by SSW it appears.

Whatever the cause its our new reality I know in my 60 years Ive never seen snow coverage like this throughout the deep south here's hoping it keeps the mosquitoes down. But Im not sure about the effects on the peanut, peach, and pecan crops among other produce...
