There is a lot of mistrust between both sides with this deal. I guess we have to wait and see what happens at each stage. I really don't see who or what group can replace Hamas at this point. It also seems to me any other choice of an Islamic freedom fighter group, which Israel labels all as terrorists, will also be rejected by Israel.
Why can't the Palestinian people vote to decide who governs them? They are completely left out of this deal with no guidelines of what Israel expects as to governace of Gaza, let alone Gaza having true independence. Not looking good.
