If this tractor is US compliant, no guarantee it is, Ive seen Chinese cars shipped here that are not legal for emissions and some that aren't legal for other reasons.
based on the latest available data from January 6, 2025, there are 2,279 John Deere dealerships in the United States.
As of now, there are over 30 tractor brands that either originated in the U.S. or are actively sold and recognized in the American market. This includes major players like John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, and Kubota (though Kubota is Japanese, it has a significant U.S. presence with manufacturing in Georgia). Smaller or niche American brands like TYM (with U.S. operations), Bobcat, Ventrac, and Tuff-Bilt also count, alongside others such as Mahindra (Indian-based but with U.S. assembly in states like Texas).
Thats a tough market to sell into one tractor at a time.
How many tractors do you expect would be purchased that way?
Most American consumers buy now, not send a down payment talk to the owner, watch videos of the process, for weeks, etc.
and many of those are absolutely brand loyal.
They want it now, and for a tractor yeah you will need parts for maintenance as has been mentioned.
Much like the awesome $10,000 truck in the link in my thread, it won't be available in the US for years if ever.
They could sell loads of this truck with modifications in the US but decided corporately not to do so. WHY because manufacturing and assembling two different ways is not cost-effective on mass-produced items, no matter how much they may sell in the US it will not offset the cost of two different versions. Conversely manufacturing them all to American regulations would cut tremendously into the Chinese supplier profits and remember a large percentage goes to the CCP.
Happy American customers with youtube channels (with 40-60,000 views) is good advertising, is it not?
Some video comments:

"You're paying that much for American made because the CEO's need their bonus at the end of the year, and they still make it in China."

Please tone it down. It's starting to smell muddy in here. Never discuss each other or opinions about each other.

I think Trump learnt the Art of the Deal from....Terry Tibbs?
Possibly.
Very funny.

This one makes me sad.
https://www.oag.com/blog/canada-us-airli...ion-market
Quote:Passenger bookings on Canada – US routes are currently down by 70% compared to the same period last year.
We just built a new terminal. We're supposed to be getting new flights to Panama, Amsterdam, and have several to Canada already. We were finally back above pre-pandemic levels and people ALL OF A SUDDEN don't want to travel here. And we get treated like shit traveling elsewhere. The world is divesting in the US over Trump, and treating our vacationers poorly as a result.
Which really sucks for TOURISM HEAVY LOCAL ECONOMIES.
Some of my best memories are when I was young and that main street in Niagra Falls by the Ripley's Believe it or Not and the Canada Wendy's. Taking the money dad gave me to the currency exchange and spending colored money with the queen on it at the Canadian stores was my favorite thing to do.
And they'd all tell me, "You know, we have both prices listed because we accept both currencies."
"But that isn't as much fun!" I would say.
And it was a fun day trip. Over the rainbow bridge and to Canada. With the kilometers on the signs. Such friendly border patrol people too. You killed my childhood Canada-friendly memories!
It's sad to that this country we've always been friendly with is saying, "Okay well go to Europe Instead."
Likewise, I'm not going to hold Canada's "Fuck You for the next four years!" reaction to our elected jackass.
And some things they genuinely do better than us. Like whiskey and music until Alanis Morissette's second single. After the song about the hockey player it kinda fell off a cliff.
I still think they got more of the gifted creative gene from our common UK ancestors.
You can hate me (by citizenship) for my REALLY DISRESPECTFUL instigating leader, Canada, but I just can't hold it against you.
Hope to be friends in 4 years. Well try our hardest to not let the Republicans try to justify a third term for Trump. And we'll try to make sure Governor Newsom defeats Vance in 2028. And we'll oppose all needless annexation and expansion crap too.

I and my friends and family don’t hate the American people at all. We are all just folks just trying to get along and go along.
My wife just showed me her brand new US visa (she’s a Mexican national) and I said ok cool! Where do you want to go? She has half-sisters in Virginia and Washington state, and she said ha! We’re not going anywhere where I’m going to get grilled by the border guards.
She actually gets questioned pretty hard by the Canadian border guards when she comes home here, so I understand.
Thankfully we fly over the US to get home, without too much hassle.
It’s kind of a “don’t hate the player, hate the game “ thing.
You guys are fine. Always welcome, and welcoming, although I haven’t crossed a land border in quite a while. I used to ride down the coast and then off through the desert and always enjoyed myself and met some fantastic people who I could call friends.
Hang in there, it won’t stay like this. It’s always the politicians who make things shitty for the people. But the people have the power in the end.
Remember Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs”?
My 2 pesos…
Tecate
If it’s hot, wet and sticky and it’s not yours, don’t touch it!

Border guys/Customs/TSA are dicks to everyone. Doesn't matter the country! It's their job :D
I don't think I recall a chill casual border person in any country. At best you get indifference.

I've met some very nice ones! I find that very often they appreciate small moments of people being nice and an opportunity to be human to people. Like the poor people working at the DMV when you smile at them and tell them you're not in any real hurry. One or two have been jerks or grumpy, but I would say no more so than in any other bureaucratic encounter.
And the Canadian ones are friendly! It's weird. Maybe it's white privilege?

I think I have made some smile rarely, but in general, its 'be tough gruff and try and get you to move on'
