What the BBC did was splice/edit Trump's political speech calling for violence in such a way as to misrepresent the context, but he did call for violence during his speech make no mistake about that.

Why didn't Trump FBI immediately arrest Cole? Instead they went on Trump's wild goose chase of 'it must be an inside job'. So they went back to look at all the previous FBI's work and went from there, it's called continuing the investigation where it left off.

This Cole person, I believe, was just a hapless Trump supporter who believed his lies and I blame Trump's political rhetoric for it and so should everyone else, just like the Capitol Police that were injured that day blame Trump for inciting violence and that is a criminal offense.
