Like others have said, it's near impossible to post one particular movie, as the type of film changes with mood and nostalgia. I agree with about 90% of what other posters have listed.
I'm big Sci-fi movie fan so 'Forbidden Planet' is up there at the top, along with the more recent Alien and it's sequel Aliens. Always been a Star Wars fan, and 'The Empire Strikes Back' has always been my pick from the original trilogy.
Saw the first 'Superman' movie as a 7/8 year old, so will always have a soft spot for that. Christopher Revee will always be Superman.
I also enjoy a good scare, so The 'Exorcist' and 'Exorcist 3' are a great watch (Exorcist 3 still has the best jump scare in my opinion), and really enjoyed the original 'Hellraiser', the character Pinhead having some great lines.
You can't go wrong with the Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee movies for nostalgia reasons, as these terrified me as a child.
