KKLoco for sure. No one in my neighborhood would come out during the day when I lived there. We would come out at dark and head to the pool, and the water would be sooo warm it wasn’t even refreshing. The lightning storms off in the distance by Superstition Mountains were a sight to behold. I do miss it sometimes! Not those electric bills though lol.

Yeah it’s miserable. I don’t live in the valley anymore thankfully. However, weather patterns in central AZ have become more like the valley. We never used to get over 100. It happens all the time now.

I had a volleyball pool when I lived in Gilbert. That motherfucker would get to 95 degrees. Felt like you were swimming in a pool of sweat. There was nothing refreshing about it. It’s more common for people to have coolers for pools, rather than heaters.

A ‘block party’ in AZ, is where everyone shows up with a block of ice to dump in the pool. It’s fucking 95 where I am, and summer is a month away…..

i can’t believe we have both lived in Gilbert. When I was there 2007-2009 it was common to get to 120 degrees. Birds would drop out of the sky and hit your car while driving.

I know you know hydration is so important. Surprised central is getting hot this early.

Yeah, Gilbert. I don't miss that place at all. You have strip malls, and more strip malls. Oh, did I mention strip malls?

i have to admit, I had a hard time adjusting to desert living, and the strip malls. I missed rain and trees so much. I loved the Superstition Mountains and the history there. I miss the grid system of roads. I’m in Massachusetts now which is white knuckle driving everywhere here.

I honestly can say I had the best neighbors and made some really good friends there from all walks, alot of Mormon friends as well.

I loved my community, Power Ranch, it was beautiful and felt pretty safe. I was super lucky to have had great neighbors and friends. I had no relatives there however, which made it hard sometimes. Christmas was just wrong without snow, and I would pray for a cloudy day!

I feel old and I don't want to. I get up and go to work every day like i've been doing for 50 years. Got my first job at Taco Bell at 14 and then joined the AF at 17 and then started painting in 1980 and been a painter for 45 years now. Never got to buy a house because we always moved to the work. I can't retire anytime soon because all the rent in America is RETARDEDLY out of reach. This whole world is a fukkin clown world mess and it sux to be in it anymore. But, here I am, just chuggin along , taking care of my wife since our daughter died 2 1/2 years ago from heart related problems from her Vaccine shot, she took 3 because she was scared.. Food is poisonous to all of us, water is poisonous and politics and politicians suck worse than ever and my butt itches.

I feel everything you’re saying. It seems the people who work the hardest and do right suffer the most in this world.

i feel it too, I talk to people everyday who are exhausted from running the hamster wheel. I have to have surgery on my leg end of next month and can’t even afford to take time off. So it’s off to work in severe pain til the end of June. I developed a clot right around Covid time, and now I have some vein issue there. It hurts like hell. Yet I have seen so many younger people who walk better than me getting ssdi.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this is Hell, and were all hopefully trying to find our way home to God.

i wish you and your wife some blessings in your life, and a break.

That is interesting, because one though I've had is that it is hellish to be so caught in the pains of the past or the worries of the future that one cannot live in and appreciate the present. Appreciate and enjoy the now. Heaven is in the moment, within and without, eternally nigh.

But life can suck, no joke. Sometimes the only thing we seem to have is each other.
