In fact, the poor kids in the area often have better hygiene than the rich kids. Most poor people I know have the attitude we may be poor, but we don’t have to be dirty butts. It's why I said socio-economic instead of strictly economic. I grew up piss poor and I didn't finish school but I always had manners. Parents should be teaching the basics of hygiene or their nannies if they're rich. My post was more about the lack of quality upbringing which shouldn't be something government departments have to get heavily involved with. But, many parents aren't educated, they're mentally ill, they're on drugs, some are criminals, social media influencers, the list is long when it comes to general wastes of space. Some of that is obviously my opinion and I'm sure many people who fall into those descriptors are actually really good parents and are not known to be vacant parents. Many are though.

Especially low level white collar jobs requiring an education. What do you think school is like for a third grader who’s dream is to be a big game hunter that gets loads of BS homework each night. If a grownup at work maliciously complies or is rebellious, the online community treats them as some sort of antihero. If a child acts the same way, people call them a Ned? How hypocritical. If “educated” means using violence to occupy buildings on US college campus. I’ll pass.
Forgot to hit the quote button so this is for Andy -
Oh, I know. But you're in Scotland and I'm here in the U.S. and we have some serious problems with our system...and it's mostly not the teachers, it's the system. I had some great teachers and so did my kids and the good ones make up about 92% but it's that other 8% that makes it a cluster.

The individual found out how nice some teachers are with threats and nails left in their driveway. There are good teachers. Unfortunately there are also many teachers that are indoctrinated and institutionalised with all dedication to the unions. Quote:ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A teacher is headed to court demanding the Michigan Education Association stop harassing him and allow him to opt out of the union. You can whitewash all you want. But there is a dark institutionalised side to the US education system where case after case the unions act like thugs. No amount of whitewashing can hide that fact.

Isn’t that a threat to democracy through corruption and institutionalisation. Forcing and harassing members to join a union so union dues can got to electing democrats into office and receiving preferred status and benefits from those people you invested into in the form of crony capitalism. Where schools districts cover up crimes and civil rights violations to avoid dealing with lawsuits and policing the teachers union.

There are good teachers. There is also widespread corruption in school districts and the teachers unions. |
