Which part or parts of the mission are fake, and why?

The entire mission is fake.  I mean a rocket is launched, and a capsule landed.  But these 4 old farts never orbited in space, and traveled around the moon.

Why did they ever fake this, and continue to?  Beats me.  Why do parents tell their kids Santa is coming down their chimney?  Maybe it’s some kind of hopium.

Unexpected cracks and loss of material in the 'used' heat shield?   Not good NASA.

"NASA has confirmed that the Artemis II crew successfully splashed down on April 10, 2026, after the Orion spacecraft's heat shield withstood the re-entry journey despite known design flaws. The heat shield, which suffered unexpected cracking and material loss during the uncrewed Artemis I mission in 2022, was used "as is" for Artemis II because replacing it would have delayed the mission by 18 months or more."

The article above says re-entry is the riskiest part of the mission because of a heat shield design flaw, yet they refurbished Artemis I's heat shield and gave it the green light to go. Not good NASA.

Why the big hurry for this mission? Why was it unexpected that this type of damage could just be filled in and do the job? Why wasn't the design flaw caught during the testing phase? Not good NASA.

For many decades, conspiracy theorists have attempted to argue that NASA’s missions to the lunar surface were somehow faked — and the space agency’s latest trip around the Moon and back is no different.
Except this time, the widespread proliferation of AI slop is supercharging the trend, with denialists pointing to faked, AI-generated footage as “proof” of their claims with no apparent sense of irony.
One particularly sticky video shows the crew of four astronauts hanging by harnesses in front of a large green screen. As France 24 points out, it doesn’t take much analysis to conclude that it’s AI slop, from glitching overlaid text that interferes with the floating Artemis mascot in the shot to missing limbs and the wrong number of fingers on some of their hands.
Why anybody who actually believed NASA had faked its lunar flyby would choose to AI generate footage as counterevidence is a question worth asking. Is it a believer so die-hard that they’re willing to use fake evidence to convince others of their cracked worldview — or is a troll getting a kick out of fooling gullible conspiracy theorists on social media?
If there’s one certainty, it’s that prevalent AI slop could further entrench belief in idiotic conspiracy theories, once again highlighting the dangers of the tech and how it’s continuing to undermine the validity of the information we encounter online — and consequently, the very concept of truth itself.

I was very excited for this entire event and I was very let down by the  quality of imagery presented throughout the entire event.
Watching the live streams of both the launch and the return, I felt like I watched more animations than I did actual footage. 
Someone buy these guys a few GoPros asap
