With all the fraud. I doubt if most believe they actually are headed to the moon. I see no proof.

I think most normal people do believe it.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

I suppose my biggest problem with it is the launch date- April 1.
Of all possible dates they could have chosen. Lol

Most normally ignorant believe anything you tell them.

I heard the Artemis toilet is still broken.  Yikes.

The crew have had to become 'space plumbers'.

"The Artemis II toilet issue involved two separate malfunctions with the Orion spacecraft's Universal Waste Management System that prevented the crew from fully using the bathroom for the first several days of the mission.
The first problem, occurring shortly after launch on April 1, was a priming issue where the toilet's pump failed to function because insufficient water had been added to prime it; this was quickly resolved by the crew acting as "space plumbers."

The second, more persistent issue arose on Day 3 when frozen urine clogged the vent line, preventing liquid waste from being dumped into space.  To fix this, mission controllers performed a "sun-bathing" maneuver by rotating the capsule to expose the frozen line to sunlight, eventually allowing the system to clear and restoring full functionality by Day 4

While the toilet was intermittently out of commission, the four astronauts (Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen) had to rely on Collapsible Contingency Urinals (CCUs), which are backup plastic bags, to collect urine until the primary system was fully operational."

Is this NASA's lowest priority on the list?

I am wondering what happened to the barbeque roll or Passive Thermal Control (PTC) for heat management. I guess they had to stop it when they went with solar panels. Apollo used fuel cells for power so they just did a slow roll to keep the spacecraft outside temperature even.

I am less concerned about the the problems so far as I am about the heat shield during re-entry. The Orion capsule will be going faster during re-entry than it has ever gone before with crew onboard. Artemis I had a heat shield problem that was never really corrected.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

Other than some minor and major glitches and malfunctions that were brilliantly handled, the mission was a great success.

----

"Other notable glitches included a temporary loss of communication with the Orion capsule about 50 minutes after launch, which was quickly restored, and an unexpected Microsoft Outlook failure where both onboard instances were non-functional until Mission Control remotely accessed the computers to fix them.  Despite these setbacks, the crew successfully completed a translunar injection burn and is currently on an irreversible trajectory to fly around the Moon" (LLM)

I'll be looking forward to NASA's release of the astronauts' pictures/videos taken with smartphones and cameras provided by NASA.

----

"Yes, the Artemis II astronauts are using iPhone 17 Pro Max smartphones to capture photos and videos during their historic lunar mission.  These devices, officially classified as Personal Computing Devices (PCDs), were cleared by NASA for spaceflight in February 2026 and were distributed to the crew during quarantine to document the journey for their families and the public.
The phones are used in airplane mode with no internet or Bluetooth connectivity, functioning solely as standalone cameras to capture images of Earth, the Moon, and the crew inside the Orion capsule.  Notable images include selfies of Commander Reid Wiseman and Mission Specialist Christina Koch looking out the window with Earth behind them, as well as a photo of the Moon's surface taken with the 8x telephoto zoom capability.
  • Primary Imaging Tools: While iPhones are used for informal moments, the crew's main professional cameras remain Nikon D5 DSLRs and Nikon Z9 cameras.
  • Usage Examples: Phones have been used for everything from taking selfies and documenting the mission to acting as a portable mirror for shaving.
  • Safety Protocol: The approval process involved rigorous testing for radiation resistance and ensuring that materials like glass would not shatter into hazardous debris in zero gravity
  • Data Transfer: Photos and videos are not transmitted in real-time but are stored on the devices and handed over to ground teams to be shared via official NASA channels." (LLM)
