Want to learn how to meditate?

Slowly moving my attention up the body until all the body sinks deep into the mattress.  It doesn't feel good.  The skin feels like its turning into concrete during the process. My face feels pain when it enters that stage. Often the breath is the last sensation I have to my body.  Letting go of that is difficult.  If successful, I get a high frequency bong then boom. I enter a realm that is totally empty but full of energy.  The realm is the atman. Out of thousands of attempts I have only entered a few times.

Start with relaxing your face, jaw then go up and over your head and down relaxing everything to your feet.  Don't sink down...the order of things doesn't actually matter, just what you can control. you might get small localized muscles spasm that you are dissociated from and interpret it as movement.  ears also has muscles inside them.

Have you returned from that 'realm' with the wisdom of the ages?

It all sounds like a lot of bother for nothing.

Something like this should do it. Just align head and limbs with points. The cards are guardians, they can't just exist in meditation.

What is your intent?

You need to go on a journey, what you encounter along they way is your intent and all before. You have to travel among the stars or through the spheres, you need to know them also and have a journey planned. Your symbols will come alive, it's what all the work was for. The journey takes you deeper, further on the path, back in time...or whatever you are doing.

You can go to the source and watch all the strings connect and play. There are disturbances on the surface, ripples, towers, harmonious or not.  Colors..all things has meaning. You can follow them back.

this will help you raise up energy if you focus on it, 9 minutes per point. long. the challenge is to finish at the right point and not lose track.

It all sounds like a lot of bother for nothing.

But is it for nothing?  We can remain in meaningless daydreams of egotistical desire after egotistical desire until death knocks on the door.  Or we can realize that all those egotistical desires offers us nothing but torment and pain.  So there really be nothing to loose but pain itself.  The realms and their wisdom are aspects of the greater self. Its not given to our limited self. The limited self returns to dust from which it was made.

You can't say 'we' as not all of us live in meaningless daydreams of egotistical desire. You can only speak for yourself and your own torment and pain.
So for you it's a fleeting escape and the realisation that there are perhaps other realms brings you solace?

You say those 'realms and their wisdom' are aspects of a greater self. I won't ask about those realms but I'm interested in wisdom. How do you know they contain wisdom? Did you read, hear or see something wise?

I'm guessing no and you haven't experienced anything at all. You come here and make a claim, really just fulfilling your own meaningless desire and you can't even see that lol.

Depends what you're trying to achieve. I can attest to the visions and visuals using yoga nidra (comfy lay down technique) but the thing of real benefit I found was the full unlocking of human imagination. Something that has tremendous use.

I used it to witness memories, some traumatic. I found it to be an excellent tool to work on baggage and coming to an understanding with lingering bs that makes us poorer humans.

I just couldn't advise someone to do this kind of stuff without help or advice from people who know since those memories block things up. You best be prepared downriver when you go blowing up dams so to speak.

Anyway, meditation is fundamentally simple. Breathe in using your belly so the diaphragm is having a break, breath out. Simple. If that's proving to be troublesome imagine a box which will act as a track for the little blue light that symbolises your breathing.

First breathe in: top left to top right
First breathe out: top right to bottom right
Second breathe in: bottom right to bottom left
Second breathe out bottom left to top right
Repeat

Don't forget belly gets fat when breathing in.
Happy Bhuddaring?

At the minimum meditation brings endorphins, lessens stress and promotes wellbeing. Seems plenty could do with it.

I know what meditation is Ray. I'm not too sure I agree with everything you say but close enough I suppose.

I just ask questions when people make statements about other realms etc. It is also revealing how people react to questions. Someone might talk about the 'akashic records' or some such and I'll come along and ask about them lol.

I do appreciate your reply.
