The reddit exobiologist whistleblower confirmed they extrude waste through their pores. So they could also absorb it that way.
The bathing in vats of blood and meat thing may not be that far off for these seemingly engineered Greys.
This explains the bad and sometimes just musty wet cardboard smell they often have.

Lies, the methane and dung is used to fuel the stoves that boil the oats and bake the cookies

Hola mate when looking through 'humanoid' databases interesting to note that 'greys' really didn't turn up until the mid 1960's.
Not saying the stereotype has been injected into the public consciousness but there's no denying it's been constantly pushed by Hollywood and the corporate Mockingbird media.
Also, regarding the 'visiting extra solar aliens' hypothesis would say most folks I speak to put that explanation very far down on the list these days.
I could of course be extremely wrong but I'd say the UFO phenomenon is far too weird and UFO shapes (and occupant flavours) far too varied for it to be something as simple as that.
Always respect your opinion but personally reckon 'UFO occupants' and their subsequent (repeatedly observed) behaviours have far more to do with Fae folklore than anything else - particularly long distance space travel.
Cheers.

Fae folk Manannán mac Lir, Morrígan, Nicnevin
Not long ago overcome by grief I decided to actually draw again and practiced the basics. Curious that a grey is the most basic form of face to draw, before you have a mental image
[redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and especially [redacted] are not very forthcoming when it comes to what was seen and what was vision. Did you really see something? Hey fellows, do you want to describe [redacted] in details? We know [redacted] is all symbolism. Where does your gnosis come from? You will be dragged through the fire
My exploration here went something along the lines of > interesting accounts > too much variation > to many accounts< > monetization< > bots <> agendas
'Greys' as created creatures are highly plausible though and will stick around so there is this. It is legend now, folk lore
I wouldn't be quick to dismiss the occultists, but wouldn't pry into their secrets either and there are eyes on them in any case

If I am NOT riffing for fun -
Through personal experience as put on other threads i think greys are parallel beings to humans, that is very close to us on the spectrum of consciousness and only recently gained a (stronger) foothold in our reality in the 1940s or so due to weakening of the EM field/veil most likely due to the atomic explosions as well as the 1920s and 1930s gateways created by the Thule society and others.
Naturally nonphysical, they interface with our dead, and our astral and etheric bodies.
Now besides all that, they could still be 'manufactured' by a higher race.
Physicality is only relative, after all.

That all makes sense but then I have to also agree there are factions or not everything is related. Factions fit in with the Tuatha Dé Danann
EM field/veil
Seen some pretty weird EM fields so yup. There is no veil
others stuff also...need coffee

There's a veil but its flimsy.
Most people make their own, though, through lack of attention.

depends on what part of the world we have this conversation in, probably getting of topic.
water for the cows. methane for the stoves. happy thoughts.
