UFOs And Water.
#21
What I find intriguing about these cases and cases like the stopped clocks is the recognizable technology. It gives us a head start on something to look for.

This water thing is cool, I wonder what other changes or traces they leave on ecosystems that could be used to find them?

Beer

Hola Encia good to see you and it never crossed my mind to look for glacier reports Beer - regarding lake reports like Gosford looks like there was a similar one from the same area a few years later.

Quote:Date: 17.06.2000
Day: Saturday
Time Seen: Friday 16th June between 5.45pm and 6.00pm
Location: Empire Bay (Gosford area)
Reportee: Alison F
Report given to nearest rep: Doug Moffett

Report:

Alison noticed an illuminated object over the water, hovering low on the horizon. The object had 8 square lights right around, it was football shaped with a white/gold glow and the well defined square lights were brighter than the rest of the object. The proximity estimated was quite close, approx 200-300 mtrs and elevation about a tree and a half above the water..

Also this other Aussie one from twenty years earlier.

• Large UFO illuminates lake.

Quote:Date: February 26, 1975

Location: Lake Sorell, Australia

Two men sighted two UFOs at Lake Sorell in Tasmania. "It was about 2-1/2 miles away when we saw it move - and then it was right there only about 1,000 yards away and 500 feet above the lake." The size of the object was no less than 200 feet in diameter. During the next few minutes the object turned on a "monstrous light" which was directed down toward the lake.

Underneath each of the craft was a red, pulsing light in the center and other red to orange lights running around the circumference. The two objects stood out clearly, then one of them headed toward the fishermen's location.

"It was about 2-1/2 miles away when we saw it move - and then it was right there only about 1,000 yards away and 500 feet above the lake." Smith said that had he not seen it himself he would not have believed a craft could have such performance. He was sure that the size of the object was no less than 200 feet in diameter.

During the next few minutes the object turned on a "monstrous light" which was directed down toward the lake. It was half the diameter of the UFO itself, the shaft of it was well defined, and it came from one side of the bottom of the UFO. The light was very intense and it was painful to the eyes to look at it. Smith compared its brilliance to that of a welding torch. While watching the phenomena he took careful sightings on hills in the area with which he was familiar. The spill of light from around the main shaft of the light illuminated a distance of 1-1/2 miles around the lake.

The beam was swung back and forth in an arc. "It seemed like a careful search of the Robinson's Swamp area and I have no doubt that beam of light was intelligently controlled," Smith said..

Yes indeed mate - lots of patterns in the data out there and thanks for the feedback on those videos (thought that book was a good one).

This case only involves one witness but did find it rather compelling as a retired 'UFO sceptic' Police Officer was fishing on a river in the UK and witnessed a daylight, close range, metallic, 'upturned bowl' shaped object surrounded by a blue haze.

The UFO was described as being over the river with 'twinkling lights like the sun' shining from the belly of the object directly onto the surface of the water 'moving it in a violent, circular motion'.

Also some very strange temporal antics as apparently his watch stopped and his bait maggots pupated into casters (which should have taken 2 days) - after being questioned by the MOD he also started receiving 'threatening phone calls' - see 2:50:00.

• Former Police Officer John Hanson - lesser known historical British UFO reports.

Quote:"This is the first of a ground-breaking new series compiled by former Police Officer John Hanson and his partner Dawn Holloway, together with David Sankey, a veteran UFO researcher and artist. The multi-part series covers British UFO sightings from 1940 to the present day. This first volume deals with UFO reports from 1940-1959; nineteen tumultuous years during which Britain won a war, lost an empire, buried a king, crowned a queen, and saw a new breed of consumer prosperity rise from the ashes of post-war austerity. People who have followed the UFO subject in any depth will not be surpised to discover that the UFOs encountered during these two decades follow the socio-political changes of the people who witnessed them to a remarkable degree. Haunted Skies is the most ambitious series of books ever attempted in the history of ufology, and will - no doubt - provide a new benchmark in the quality of such publications."

Got to pay that beertax mate Beer

I agree it's fun to speculate and below is a bit of a freaky (alleged) historical account from the year 1663.

Apparently a huge flaming sphere about 130 feet in diameter was witnessed by townsfolk coming out of the sky and hovering over the surface of a nearby lake whilst projecting two beams which penetrated the water - two peasants in a boat couldn't get near it due to the heat but they said the beams reached the bottom of the lake.

Wallachia - August 15th, 1663.

God knows what's going on there lol.

I realized too late that I should have put this post into the Clocks and Time thread, but hey, it all works together.

Pretty freaky incident from the Loch Raven dam in 1953:

Quote:1953 Incident – A Syphoning Of Water Supplies?

On an evening in early-May 1953, a little before 8 pm, two young men were driving to pick up two young college women for a prearranged date in Baltimore. [1] It would be a journey like no other.  They were approaching one of the bridges across the Loch Raven Reservoir when their vehicle came to a sudden stop of its own accord. A second later the radio went silent, quickly followed by the failing of the headlights. The two young men began to jibe each other for not making sure the tank was full of gas. Then, they saw the “orange glowing object” approximately 300 feet in front of them over the bridge.

The object had the appearance of two saucers facing each other with “an ultraviolet band” dividing them. The light from the object shining off the surface of the water below. The two young men watched the object from their car for several moments before each left the vehicle looking for safety. The driver found refuge in an area of woodland at the top of a small embankment. The passenger, meanwhile, would hide in a small ditch in the opposite direction.

They would estimate the object to be between 200 to 300 feet above the water.  Underneath the object, was a strange “conical shape”, like a “column of fog or haze or mist” [2] which stretched down to the water. At the same time was a “mum-mum-mum” sound. This continued for around ten minutes before the object disappeared. Although the sighting remains without explanation, the sound and location would suggest a “siphoning”. Or, even more alarming, a contaminating of the water supply

Also a very odd case from the same dam in 1958 involving a 'large, flat, egg-shaped object'.

Given that water is part of the issue with all sorts of our visitors, I assume that it is a galaxy-wide relationship. I came across a long video on comets last week.  The narration stated that the deuterium levels observed in comets is different from seawater.  Being ignorant about deuterium, I checked with my friend and enemy, Google.  It told me that "natural" water has about 150ppm of deuterium.  Seawater contains 155ppm.  That doesn't sound like much, but I went on in my ignorance to learn that the lower the percentage, the more healthier water can be.  Commercially available today, water can be processed down to near zero amounts of deuterium.  But it gets to be very expensive.

My assumption was that desalinating of seawater was, of course, a more complex process and that was the entire reason why the UFOs seem drawn (pun intended) to natural waters.  But perhaps that is only part of the reason.  And then there is that indirection association with comets that, (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) gives me thought.

Don't think anyone knows if they're visiting or have been here all along (or live underground or in a next door dimension or time travellers etc.) but do appreciate the information. on deuterium. Beer

I was genuinely unaware of most of that and you're not wrong about Google either - it's more like some sort of self indoctrination device than a search engine these days.

Did you ever catch the compilation involving these objects interacting with the world's dams?

Pretty fascinating stuff and don't know about salinity content but there are accounts of UFOs 'sucking up' water from dams in New York as well as loads of testimony involving UFOs doing something just above the surface of the water.

Also witness accounts of UFOs diving into (or emerging from) the waters of the dam or 'siphoning' power from the hydroelectric stations.

Looks like they also like swimming pools.

Quote:UFOS SUCK WATER FROM POOLS.

In Jan 1984, many residents of Olavarria, Argentina observe a UFO hover over their swimming pools and suck the water right out of them. And this isn’t the first time this has happened.
