It does not help when science and government are deceitful in areas outside their abilities to control.  In those regimes, control is more critical thanTruth, where we exactly reside today.

It is at least about 80 years beyond that point.  It is hard for human conditioning to give up supposedly superior positions in government and the sciences when they have a solid, but entirely wrong footing in absolute control.  The public will only suck their teeth as the old saying goes, while governments and sciences gnash theirs.  Stupid wars have been fought for less.

Yes mate well said and 'flying discs' (whatever they are) go way back further than that.

1973 was a big year and below is another Aussie one involving a 'domed disc', pendulum motion (link) and stopped clocks.

June 14, 1973; nr Tyringham, Australia

Domed disk making noise like aboriginal "bull-roarer" descends like "falling leaf or pendulum", and that morning a lady from Dundurrabin heard strange noises and weird "moonlight" through her window.

Her clock was discovered to have stopped [though it wasn't electric]. She thought this was odd when her neighbors came to her house to inquire about the time since their clock had stopped too.

Well mate as already posted 'flying discs' were being witnessed way before 1947 but am sure the CIA found the subject 'useful'.

Have you ever looked into the history of their involvement - why not start a separate thread on the subject?

One thing's for sure internal documents show they were genuinely concerned about the phenomenon and actively investigating it.
