Trump tactic — put it out there.
Let idiots spread the mis-info.
Clears a path for him to promote an alternative he has financial connection to.

An excellent and detailed explanation that was easy (for me at least) to comprehend. You have a nice approach, like a kind teacher who really wants their students to understand.
There are some that use that information like a club to beat people with in what appears to be a show of superior strength and authority. That attitude only makes me resist their message no matter how factual it may be.
Your presentation has got me thinking that the connection that is implied may really be shinola. Also, if a fever is that dangerous for a pregnant woman's unborn, even if there is really is some risk of autism, being safest for use it is better than severe damage or death when left untreated.
Alternately, I must consider the that Tylenol can't be the only safe treatment for fever or to bring down a temperature during pregnancy. Plus, I won't forget that big pharma wants an uninterrupted revenue stream. I also wonder how dangerous a fever is for the unborn and how often this is a problem during pregnancy statistically. Another good question is, "How often is it prescribed during pregnancy?" Is it given out like candy to pregnant women?
Thanks for the kind words. It's good to see someone being friendly across the ideological divide.
Acetaminophen is typically recommended by doctors to treat fever because it's effective and has very little side effects. It's generally considered safer than the alternatives, as far as I know. And no, it's not given out like candy. Doctors will always tell you only to take it when necessary.

There are far more dangerous over the counter drugs out there that pregnant women should be wary of, but he did not mention any of them...make it make sense.
It almost appears that the political division spans across each of all the political spectrums because I rarely see civil and open discussion from the Americans here, except from a few seemingly Independent or Centrists, or people which change their party depending upon which issue they find more of a priority. Or from the members who just don't care or who have given up.
I believe in free speech, women's rights, freedom of expression, peaceful protest, I believe capitalism only serves the rich, and I am anti-war. Doesn't that make me straddling both sides of the fence?
I only register republican because it is one of the choices. The other candidates at the time I registered were not to my liking.
As for voting, I vote for the candidate and not the party. I consider anyone that votes straight party lines just because of the party to be kind of off.
As for this pill, you are still not considering all people. Some will think they don't need a doctor until delivery. They also will use what they have known to work as far as over the counter meds go. When they have a worse pain, some think more pills is better even though the dose is more then recommended.
That is where I see the problem, overuse and not seeing a doctor during pregnancy.
Trump went overboard but that may have been for a reason. To get the problem noticed. You and others may have overreacted in some.of the posts. I may have been overreacting in some of mine but my stance has been follow the recommendations of the manufacturer and your regular medical practitioners.
Both sides in this discussion have been worked into more confrontational rather than discussion posts by the opposing side in this thread. I hope we are over that.

I have seen people take aspirin like candy. That is my concern that some are taking this one that way. Not long enough for the liver damage but in high enough over recommended dose and while pregnant to do developmental damage to the child.

Well some of us here see his messaging 'don't take it' when high fever can also cause harm to the unborn child. This to some of us is blatant irresponsibility from a leader pushing what should have been, what you said, a blanket warning to check with their doctor.
His messaging causes real harm to the people who follow what he has to say, such as in the 121% increase in poisonings after his disinfectant message back during the Covid pandemic.
I don't consider it an overreaction to call Trump out when he could be causing harm. It's more like a necessity and it's not just me here who believes that.

I see your point about the disinfectant. But that was not all Trump's fault. Many reports were that he actually said to do that when in fact he was using it as an example to question what could be done at the time. Some creative editing made it into apparent instructions to do so.

The whole point is what would their doctor's consider a high fever. Which means if they have any concerns whatsoever they should see their doctors. This is the messaging Trump should have used.

So, all these pregnant women taking Tylenol without their Drs advice, just to prove Trump wrong, is.. what ? Stupid ? Insane ?
Don't give a damn about their own health or their unborn child ?
I mean, follow the science, right ?

....unless Trump says it and then it's all wrong.

I really don't know what you are talking about and I've already explained my stance.
Again, the message should have been 'see a doctor' not 'don't take it'.
