The democrats are completely UNHINGED!! They've LOST IT!!
It was very unlikely not to say impossible that Biden could manage to win this one. Now he is out of the race but an assassination attempt makes it even more probable for Trump to win. I wonder why voters had to choose between these two and I say don't bite for them. Trump's history and politics speak for themselves. It's like a failed project resurrected.

The endless 'insertion' of new and contradictory information is purposeful, and I fear, orchestrated. Assuming the hypothetical 'plan' surrounding the assassination attempt (i.e., the "lone gunman" theory is bunk) is valid, then intent to obfuscate can only have a few motivations: Frist, that the failure to earnestly secure the candidate was so egregious as to border on what some might call "criminal," or second, that the 'powers that be' are so clueless as to not want to expose their abject ignorance. I am discounting that the Secret Service, FBI, or any other 'law' agency, could conduct an assassination on their own, independently... that would change things up... in a very bad way (it would mean the metaphorical 'mafia' has completely taken over.)
But really, I never expected the political 'show' to come up with answers... only 'political performance art.' The questioning was angry and relatively pointless... as if she was going to admit to any wrongdoing on national television. Regardless of what her antagonists come up with, the pardon is likely already being drafted.
I think this is so, because as of a few years ago, the manning of the political appointee positions in this country were 'orchestrated' to subtly change how 'law' is applied. Simultaneously, the media embarked on a campaign (either of their own design or someone else's) to vilify former President Trump (and all those associated as 'supporters') so thoroughly, with such relentless rapidity, as to render him/them into the very image of a poster child for all their hateful imaginings and quite often, ranting. This might mean that even those who are entrusted to secure their persons are probably of a bent perception... and they are likely 'glorified' by any disdain for the 'orange man'.
But in the end, what was witnessed, experienced, and recorded cannot be erased from the public... so the next best thing, for them, would be to openly vilify any questions about the event, the same way they vilified talk of COVID discrepancies online... (it usually starts with the mainstream media ranting about "disinformation." - watch for it.)
More potential places to shoot from? Suddenly, despite recording evidence the sound of gunfire is 'ambiguous?' There are too many people out there who openly celebrated the attempt, and loudly lamented that he lived. This is a bad sign. The 20 year-old shooter was now a criminal mastermind? The Secret Service, too overworked and badly managed to do one of the most important security functions ever... really? Finger pointing at the leadership of the unit is going to "solve" the case?
Granted, we here suffer from a vacuum of certifiable facts, but even so, can it really be that the people who are "the best" at solving crime are so hopelessly confused that they are going to throw there hands up and give up? All the establishment can do is muddy the water... and they have already begun in earnest.
I don't want to sound conspiratorial and I agree with you there could be more to this. The lone gunman scenario is questioned a lot. You won't see it on the mainstream but everywhere else there is talk about the motives of the shooter end whether he acted on his own. They try to find a motive but they can't. Not many things add up in this story.
