Trump shot?

"Pull" what? I only said that I don't think we (those not directly involved in the investigation) have the right to know everything about everyone involved, directly or indirectly while things are still being investigated.

I’ve never seen a remote with a 10, 11, and 12 button before.

Like I noted above; it's a programmable wireless device.  The (12) discrete 'number' buttons equate to different 'channels' in the band.  The numbers 1-9, are just numerical entry numbers.  FSK protocol is just a simplistic way to prevent channel cross-talk on nearby channels on the same frequency, and thus corrupted instruction sets.

It's not a particularly complicated device, but you do have to know what you're doing to use one.  Candidly, I doubt the shooter had anything better than a rudimentary understanding of how to configure such a device, and probably relied on an E-Z Start guide to get something crude operational.

And so we disagree (categorically).

I'll just leave it at that.  I don't wish to debate the point any further with you.

(Candidly, I'm growing fatigued at all your endless questions asking for proof which you can easily find with a modicum of research on your part).

It came out in the congressional hearing that Secret Service was notified about Crooks ONE HOUR before the shooting happened - not 30 minutes. Yet somehow, Trump was allowed to take the stage.

On a side note, Biden just tested positive for Covid………

As for me, I want to know who the woman was screaming for Crooks to come back (to the group), and who the group was.

Oh, and you don't think the Secret Service has some blame here for their comedy efforts at security???  Of course not!  LOL!!

...but I'm just "pearl clutching", I guess.

Please, it's been made clear from the start that angry partisan debate is not wanted here. This is the wrong place for that. I'd ask that you not start that here, please. I'm not a Democrat or Republican and never will be. Review my many years of posts at ATS and you will find I've not deviated from that. I've been a true Independent since the 80s.

My message was simple enough. When someone commits a horrible crime it is they who are guilty. It's not a political opinion in any way. It's my general take on where the guilt is. My logic is simple. Brooks pulled the trigger. The gun did not do it, nor did anyone else other than him.

As to the LEO's, mistakes were made, but they were mistakes, not intentional acts. Its up to their superiors to deal with the reasons for the mistakes.

Thanks.  I suspect that when looking into any of these types they are usually very smart and their mental illness was overlooked or ignored.

I don't have enough free time to spend on things like this.

I just watched a person who went to school with him who said he was very vocal about his beliefs. Who he was seems to depend on who they talk too.

In fact, when I first saw a pic of him I said to myself ‘This dude had to get bullied in school’, and viola that was confirmed a couple hours later….

There is a name for the congenital chin deformity.... Let me look it up ..

I guess they call it "long face syndrome" these days. I know it can be a sign of genetic inbreeding or also the result of a few different rare congenital diseases that are genetically related.

I only know this because I have a cousin with an extremely rare genetic condition (not inbreeding related btw - aunt had him at 48 or 49 and docs said thus can happen with older mothers) and he has a similar presentation.

Maybe not related but were we dealing with someone who didn't have all his marbles from the outset? My cousin is in his late 20s now but never matured beyond about 13 or 14 years old, mentally.

I see nothing ‘partisan’ in what FCD posted. He simply pointed out the fact of how Trump is demonized, and in any other person scenario, there would be a more thorough investigation.

Additionally, you must have missed his first post in this thread the day it happened:

“As much as I dislike the man, Trump just WON the '24/'25 Election!”

I do believe you’re off base here, Blaine.

I've seen a few of these two shooters videos and I remain unconvinced. However, I'm not going to claim to be a forensics expert as to bullet trajectories.

I actually think it could be him but I agree the video is far too blurry to be sure. If you look at that video you'll see there were multiple people recording. Where are the other videos? Also, like the 10/1 attack on Vegas it looks like the video was taken with a potato camera and I just find this hard to believe that the actual quality could be so low when virtually every phone made in the last 5 years supports 4K and even a Walmart burner will do HD.

And now we tread on uncomfortable ground.  Just to keep my footing this is what I understand... please correct me if I'm wrong.

A Presidential candidate has been fired upon by a young person at a rally.

The 'fact gathering' authorities are still at work.  The media is doing it's usual job attempting to monopolize the dialog, 'attracting an audience any way they can,' it's what they do.

We (here) are collecting and commenting on "media allegations" and trying to collectively achieve a modicum of understanding about details.

There are some discrepancies between media sources, non-media sources, and authority statements.

The antecedents are bound to come up regarding the intended target, the shooter, and the performance of the authorities themselves.  Keep those facts clinical...

Ultimately, this will not coalesce into a pretty picture.

I recommend we learn not to 'demand' of ourselves that we accommodate so many sensitivities that the conversation must die.
If you say something that triggers me, I will make an effort to control my responses... please do the same for me.
How we 'feel' about this will not 'inform' anyone...

When bullets fly, and people are killed; ideology is only a distraction... not the pursuit of justice or reckoning.
