Ironically the right said for years that the media ignored Epstein (they did).

This became a story recently when the Trump admin:

• Closed the case, and won’t be seeking any more charges as there is nothing more in the files.
  
• There is more to the files, but it’s been manipulated
  
• The whole case with Jeffrey Epstein has been a radical left hoax
  

So I suppose the left has been cooking this for over a decade, but rarely talked about it and didn’t share anything from it. They baited the right to have an interest in the story most of the time, and the likes of Patel, Vance, and Bangino were demanding answers for years. Their master play was getting Trump to talk about the island and implicate Prince Andrew and Clinton in 2016 on his first run even before the second arrest.

I think that’s the official position now, but I must admit, it’s been very hard to keep up with the constant shifting.
