Trump Announces Alaska Summit with Putin

That's why providing weapons and aid is the safer, smarter option.

Zellensky can't win.  Not even with the aid.
What you are proposing is an endless war.
Expensive.
But if Europe wants to commit to that ... then that's their business.
As long as America and my tax money are left out of it.

And what you are proposing is the appeasement of a tyrant.

Which is what will essentially be happening if he gets to keep all that occupied land.

We dont reward scum like Putin.

Same as we did not reward Adolf Hitler.

Putin's the one proposing endless war because his scum invasion forces are in the wrong bloody postcode.

As to your taxes, what do you imagine that debacle in Alaska just cost?

Were you happy to pay for that failed PR stunt and photo opportunity?

So you don't care why people are dying and just want more war. Still feel that way when it your turn to the front line and two nuclear superpowers collide? Good thing you ain't involved the talks going on, you would do as well as Biden.
People saying we should help Ukraine because they are under attack being accused of warmongering reminds me of this scene

You can't put words in my mouth Kwaka, and good luck with the silly personal attack.

What does any of that have to do with appeasing a tyrant?

I would love to see what you would say or do if i took half your home and claimed it as my own, just because i liked the look of your living room.

As to the rest of that sad diatribe, let's just say if it did turn nuclear, i would be long dead before any ICBM reached the continental United States, because i live about 25 miles away from a prime target(RNAD Coulport Faslane)

And the UK gets hit long before the USA.

Certainly not fight back. To suggest such a thing would be warmongering

Outdated British propaganda.

If you’re not willing to send in troops, then what’s the point.  Keep making arms dealers rich and keep sending a generation to the meat grinder.  When, not if, the Ukraine runs out of manpower like Germany in WW II.  What then?

Ukraine has a population of over 40 million, which is far larger than Germany's at the time, and it's using volunteers, reserves, conscription, and foreign support.

And as long as they wish to fight on, that's up to Ukraine, considering they are fighting for the very survival as a sovereign nation.

Suggesting sending in NATO troops ignores political realities and it risks a massive escalation, as you well know.

You're oversimplifying war.

Arms deals don't automatically equal profit over strategy.

And the arms dealers are already rich, even if this war were to end tomorrow, the respective military industrial complexes are not going to stop making money or weapons of war.

I dont think standing up against tyrants or dictator scum will even go out of fashion.

And Putin seems to have stubbed more than his toe trying to take Ukraine, so..............

The comparison is self-evident.

Not to mention the fact that Putin's ""special military operation"" is reminiscent of Operation Barbarossa in reverse.  Saint2
