Vance: ‘We’re done with the funding of the Ukraine war business’

Vice President Vance on Sunday said he wants peace and to stop funding the Ukraine war, ahead of a Friday meeting in Alaska between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a ceasefire deal.

“We’re done with the funding of the Ukraine war business. We want to bring about a peaceful settlement to this thing,” Vance told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Hmm okay. So, hypothetically, if the USA just stopped giving weapons and support to Ukraine, what would happen? Do y'all think Putin would steamroll into Kiev, or would he let it collapse into civil war and let Europe deal with the fallout for a few years first?

Funding just perpetuates war.

For reference, see 20 year Gulf War.

He can't steamroll much, even if Uncle Sam finally learns to pull out early, there's the likelihood the EU will produce or buy enough that Russia would get hurt enough, it's in their best interests not to get overly zealous.

Besides, at this point, the Russian tanks will have 30 drones each targeting as they drive deeper and deeper into Ukraine.

I'd say he takes the oblasts and builds the defense there, but the country, occupied or not, is left full of Russian spies and mercenaries, so beware

After how long?

You're asking the wrong questions...its not how far or how much ground in a war of attrition...its trade value...which is why friendly media reports inflated numbers that if you spent 30min looking into and using common sense you'd come to the same conclusion I have...Ukraine started with 1/4 or so of Russia's manpower. At first under NATO support traded way better than anyone expected. However over time have progressively traded way worse. The more this goes on the more one sided losses are. I am sure you avoid the videos of Russian strikes...but they aren't dropping FAB 1000-3000s on nothing. Not to mention the well documented campaign they have gone on to target drone operations. Eventually you can't replace those losses...its simple math...I dont have to like or care about either to see that. Ukraine just can't replace losses the same. Russia hasn't even a actually mobilized...while Ukraine is forced to snatch people off the street and force them to fight. Those guys are only there till they can run off...I mean if you didn't believe you'd live or it was worth your life would you just die in the drone grinder? I wouldn't....its so silly to believe what you keep saying when you actually get down to it that I struggle to find a way to have a productive conversation with you and those who are similar. I personally...and fundamentally could care less who of the corrupt top 20 corrupt places are having a hard time of it... Sorry not sorry...but it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with "them" as a country. Its bad enough being from the US and not approving of our own systems and how they function...why should I care about Ukraine or Russia's plight...my give a damn goes as far as it costs a lot of taxes to prop up Ukraine...and now the Cartels down south have a good bit of every weapon system we sent there. I said 4 years ago when Trump sent Azov the first Javelin systems it would end up in bad peoples hands...if the cartels are getting them whos to say the jihadi aasholes haven't managed to buy them. All we have done collectively is shoot ourselves in the foot as the collective Western conglomerate. Ukraine is losing badly and its showing exponentially day by day...bad people are able to buy high end NATO weapons systems because we gave them to one of if not the top blackmarket arms trade countries in the world...our ability to control the trade system seems to be eroding (basically all the countries still buying Russian gas/oil told us to kick rocks) and we are pushing the on the fence major players like India away. For what gain...so we can puppet and build bases in another country right on Russia's boarder for what...they weren't looking for conflict before Maiden 2014...in fact we obliterated an entire Wagner element without so much as a peep...

Stop being a shill with old cold war feels...and stop acting like we don't collectively...as the west...fuck with them as much if not more than they fuck with us...it makes you look like an idiot and as intelligent as I know you are makes it hard to take you seriously. I want to be able to have an honest conversation about whats gone on here...but you and a lot of others only seem interested is regurgitating the propaganda...we are supposed to be smarter than that. Hell one of the most ardent Ukraine supporters WillyOAM even admits this stuff now and he is pissed because he has a lot of friends fighting for Ukraine getting either screwed or wasting their time...and many reports have said such from their own mouths.

For the love of god...you are an intelligent person whom I have seen have thought out intelligent conversation...why is this the topic you insist on pushing the narritive?

It would forcefully slide back to status quo. There is a reason its typically off limits to overtly try to take regional puppets from nations on their boarders...we really lost our collective shit over Cuba and basically every South American nation who leaned communist.

Why do you think we approach china with kid gloves.

Why do you think Russia would attempt to do anything past keeping a boarder bound buffer? Aside from Afghanistan which Russia fought them for similar reasons as we did...with similar success...

Can you name one country Russia fought in with Russian troops that wasn't on their boarder? Now as a fun exercise...lets name all the countries the US has sent actual US soldiers to and enlisted most western nations to fight with them that weren't on any western nations borders or pose any real threat to a western nation? I'll wait...I can't think of a single place that the US the UK/commonwealth or the EU has sent soldiers to fight that was a threat to anyone involved outside the area we sent people to fight. So you have to wonder...are we doing all this because we want to control everything...collectively as the "western conglomerate" and if so...lets call a spade a spade. If thats the goal I could get behind it easier if we just outright say..."we are the best and you will do what we say or we will prove it". However that kinda sounds hitler esque...people tend not to like that. But lets be real...is that not what the collective western alliance has been doing since the end of WWII?

We tell probably 70ish% of the world what they can't do and what they will do how is that any different than what the media says our enemies are doing?...save for the fact we mostly the US but collectively the west succeed more than we fail...where aside from China our adversaries can barely defend allies in their own countries let alone actually influence the world stage.

But we wanna send billions to one of the most corrupt places on earth to oppose an adversary that can barely win a war on their border...yet have china...the most totalitarian dictatorship around as a top trade partner and even let them own land and businesses in our countries.

Go try and buy land or own a business in China and see how that goes ...you'd have more success in Russia every day that ends in Y.

Sorry I know I went on a rant and it wasn't all directed at you but fuck me...its getting hard to take this shit seriously when anyone with basic sense can see world events play out...and how many times must we be caught with the hand in the cookie jar before its understood...its not like we don't have troves of leaked or FOIA released documents spelling all this out.
