Interesting that these horrible things are being done to kids in the darkness.
They say…. it’s what they want, that’s how they are born, it’s for their own good and then begin the change in the dark places, in hiding, under the cover of lies, behind their parents backs, expecting someone else to pay for it, expecting nobody will notice, expecting they will fool people and expecting those who aren’t fooled to co-sign their delusions.

In short

I believe you. And that is quite honest, and I feel forgivable and human. No doubt I too have had things I've felt that way about, and I can only aspire to air them the way you have done, should any still remain unaddressed.

And a note: thus aired, the seeming imperative to reconcile world-views that perhaps can never be reconciled, at least in these generations. A desire for a framework in which both may exist, without undue infringement or the splinter of hatred festering? A dream perhaps, but one that can be expressed... ?

And forgive if I look to such hopes and see parallels in this time in another land, another place, other peoples, other issues, and their seeming irreconcilability, and wonder: should such "naïveté" ever be foresaken? Can there be a genuine peace plan?

And the heart: "Quit harming kids. Even if you say you're doing it to oppose a hateful ideology."

I have more of an issue with women wearing thong string bikinis at pools and the beach. With most of their “parts” on display. 

But this is acceptable because they’re hetero?

With the attitudes some of you seemingly have, do you think your kid would even feel safe talking to you about these things?
