Angelton is such a high level operative that even by being questioned in front of a panel of the highest qualified officials, can navigate those hearing and questioning with little effort. He lied to the Warren committee about Oswald and his or the CIA’s level of knowledge about him. I’m certain a target package was built when he defected or prior.

Looks like Angleton was above even the director as far as influence, protection, and leverage in possible over 80 countries?? One of his relationships was deemed unusual(Mossad), but not to him. Understandable.

So far, like others have mentioned, the released documents do not seem to provide anything ground breaking. As far as I can tell they dont implicate anyone other than Lee Harvey Oswald. However, they suggest the involvement of the KGB and a group of Cuban exiles. So far as I can tell, nothing can be trusted. 


However, Oswald was under close surveillance(or an asset???) after “defecting” to Russia then re-applying for U.S. citizenship.

The Agency's explanation of the meaning of the second card was that on August 7, 1961, the CIA staff officer who opened the Oswald 201 file requested that Oswald's name be placed on the "Watch List" because of Oswald's expressed desire to return to the United States, as stated on the card. The handwritten notation indicates, in this instance, that Oswald's name was deleted from the "Watch List" on May 28, 1962.

 
Oswald conveniently had his name deleted from the watch list 18 months before the assassination. I wonder why the committee didnt question this particular action? He was a defector deemed “not fit” to become an asset but met criteria to be monitored(HT-Lingual project) and have a 201 file created?

If in fact the files do get released and are non redacted then the families of the people involved will be targeted. This is one big reason why I don’t see this happening.

JFK was likely assassinated because he wanted to tear down the CIA and TPTB running things in the background. Who’s to say that they are not still a part of it and that this doesn’t put Trump and his people in danger?

Probably the final nail in his coffin was NSA memorandum 263 bringing home men instead of increasing boots on the ground with the inevitable loss of money for the military-industrial complex. This was annuled by NSA memorandum 273, which basically sent the US into Vietnam for a long time. A copy of this memorandum was apparently found dated November 21, 1963, the day before President Kennedy was assassinated. This draft, written by McGeorge Bundy, was based on discussions from the Honolulu Conference and outlined a plan for increased action in Vietnam. So it looks like "the boys" already had it all planned out knowing JFK wouldn't be a problem after the next day.

I read somewhere that as early as December of 1959 someone was using the name Oswald to buy trucks for the Bay of Pigs invasión in and around Texas. If that's the case, and they had Oswald leaving a trail as far back as 4 years earlier, then these people had it clear the they would give JFK a couple of years to see which way the wind blew, to see his stance on Vietnam and communism, and when he started to talk to Russia and giving orders to pull out of Vietnam, they had everything already set up, putting it in motion was just a matter of a phone call.
