Woman thrown out of Diddy trial on day 15 after shouting this (thetab.com)
I was not here.

I'd lock that creep up for his degeneracy and lifestyle alone. That whole industry of gangsta rapping drug promoting filth should be shut down.
Perhaps I'm just old fashioned. I had to Google who he was and what he was famous for. There is something odious about that whole genre.

US record music revenue totalled $8.7 billion in 2024.
With rap/hip-hop being the largest genre in the field.
They generate billions in music, touring, and merchandise alone.
There is not much chance of the industry being shut down.
As to Diddy, well, that's just a horrible, nasty b@stard who is most likely about to go down for a very long time.

I know it won't be shut down Andy, I just find it all a sad reflection on the state of society that such a genre should be lauded.

The thing is rap is a powerful form of storytelling and self-expression.
And it tends to give a voice to the likes of marginalised communities, shining light on some rather serious social issues like inequality, racism, and poverty.
It's not all bad or about drugs and guns.
Some may argue it's a dynamic part of modern music and culture.
As to the state of society, well music tends to mirror life.
Rap reflects society’s realities but doesn’t predominantly cause them.

I wouldn't call it music Andy.
My grandson has just turned twenty one and has been living with me for six years. I see him and his friends listening to and watching this stuff. Not so much Diddy but close enough. I do despair lol.
You do make some good points though.

Probably just getting a little old buddy.
I'm in the same boat.
My little girl is starting off her music career, just about ready to go into 3rd year Uni course, and some of the stuff she listens to goes right above my head.
I can understand where you are coming from also.
Just preference i suppose. i grew up with the likes of The Beastie Boys, Ice Cube, Ice-T, NWA and Run DMC on the radio all the time.

Judge in Diddy trial warns he may be removed from courtroom after jury interactions
Apparently Combs has been shaking his head at the jury and flashing facial expressions at them, all through this trial. Wonder if he will testify?

I always thought that the jury should be isolated from the courtroom drama and intimidation or manipulative gestures like the ones Combs is doing, as well as to keep them anonymous.
