But your intuition could prove me wrong if you have the money to risk.

An 8.0 is also really strong.  Fort Tejon and 1906 SF Quake were 7.9s.

You'd probably get zonked if it happened.

Preliminary would be 8.1 and they'd revise it down to 7.8 just to troll people. Or it could fall short and then be upgraded and payout instead.

Also this is really detached considering how many Californians would be dead....

And now II have wasted far too much time on my internet phone today.

Yea 8.0 seems a bit high. I was going to go for at least a 7.0 . It feels  like they did that intentionally. But I would for sure feel comfortable betting $500 on a California 7.0 . I mean I only got to sell like two Nvidias and one and a half or two Oklos to cover it. I already made my money on Intel. I will buy back in after a little bit more correction anyways.

Bastards, God told me I am not allowed to gamble intentionally anyways, only reluctantly. Its why I always clean the table in Texas Hold 'EM when my cousin challenges me one on one. Who the hell plays two person hold 'em anyways? I try to convince him 5 or 7 card is better when only two people, but he just has to see the river for whatever reason.
