I'm starting this as to not derail a different thread. As the title says, what's your go-to? I've got a few...
Year round it's La Chouffe. This is an 8% Belgian blonde ale.
Winter it's Troeggs Mad Elf, or the Mad Elf Grand Cru. Both are Belgian style brewed with cherries and honey and check in about 11%.
Spring usually brings out the good IPAs and my fav is/was Troeggs First Cut. It's an IPA brewed with mango and it's outstanding. Unfortunately, you can only get it at the brewery in Hershey, PA now.
Summer it's Sam Adams Porch Rocker. I call it lemonade for grown ups. Their Summer Ale is good too.
Fall it's Pauler Octoberfest. Yeah, the real stuff. Sam Adams also makes a very good Octoberfest too.
So, bring it on! What are some good suggestions?
Cheers.
The Beer that is in front of me.
Daily driver, Busch Light is severely underrated, but I won't drink it in front of people lol.
Yuengling light is great as well.
Fall: I can be a basic bitch and enjoy a pumpkin beer so long is it's a dark ale, not sweet, and subtle spiced..
Fall and Winter: Yuengling black and tan, porters, dark ales, anything robust.
Spring:: hefeweizen if I can find a good one that doesn't taste like Blue Moon. Anything on the lighter side, I even like a good flavored one so long as it's not sweet.
Spring and Summer: Corona with Lime if it's hot enough outside. I'll concede to being a basic bitch again and even admit to liking White Claws if I need to be active and still maintain my sense lol.
All that said, trying to limit drinking to a couple of times a month. The older I get, the more it gives me fog, messes with my GI. Trying to be more healthy.
