I love a good custard or pudding. I enjoyed spotted dick, and some flans and stuff. I don't think I ever had a treacle tart though.

The only things worse than kale are sweetcorn - I appreciate I am very much in a minority of one on that - and of course jellied eels. Taylors Pork Pies are truly the BEST. Straight out the oven - they are made in town - with the juice dripping down your chin. My brother and his two sons, who live in and around the Bath area, always stock up on them when they are here.....his wife is not so keen.

Yep, no arguments on the pork pie front.
As for teeacle pudding, would get it serverd twice a week in school. ![]() Being a steamed pudding, it's healthy, too. ;) ![]()

Strictly speaking neither treacle pudding or treacle tart - there is a difference - contain treacle but instead golden syrup is used. Both are very, very nice but I do try to limit my sweet intake.

The older I get the more I have a sweet tooth. Also since I am not in my twenties and don't drink liquor, cocktails, or soda anymore , that probably has something mental chemical to do with it too, I would reckon.

Orange + banana smoothie can be pretty good, but is too sweet, so add a handful of kale or spinach to balance it. Blend well and discard. Healthy.

I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

I know kale is bad, but I think tapioca beats it.
I recall it being served at school. The first time I saw it I thought it was glue from art class... tasted about the same! Even a dollop of some red jam couldn't save it. ![]() @Carpy, if you got any of that stuff in your cafe, better to use it to put up wallpaper. ![]()
