The Anti-AI Thread
Sweet. Warehouses are controlled environments, this seems quite possible. Public roadways, and their vast delivery network are another story. It will probably take another decade or so before significant progress is made replacing those humans. Even then, the "last 20 feet" may never be automated. If we all move in to arcologies it wouldn't be a problem, but the time has not yet come to cut off all humans who don't do that.

AI powered, driverless trucks and drone delivery is already here

When the monetary system transitions to digital, mass adoption of these technologies will move at lightening speed

I was at the VA yesterday and when I was pulling out I did see a really big road paving machine that appeared to not have a person driving it. But I only could see the right side of the machine so I can't be certain it was autonomous.
We won't be waiting 10 years for anything

It's already here

Problem is something like 80% of scientific papers are fraudulent, money /grant raising spam, or made by AI now  . So how is that going to work out with the garbage in garbage out now?

The battery power is no where near there for long  haul trucks. Several driverless car companies are under investigation for causing wrecks and not stopping for school buses.

Not looking good for driverless vehicles.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?
Georgia power is looking at building more gas fired power plants to feed the AI data centers.

Clamkers are hungry. I thought the future power was supposed to be greener.

LLMs... repositories of all the things we've selected to take as axiomatic... reduced to linguistic interpretations... and then calling the output "new research."

By logic and even (I think) definition... this is not AI nor can it perform anything "agentic," it's just a tool.

LLMs (even one masquerading as an "AI") should only serve in meta research... not pure research... it requires auditing and editorship that the actual researcher is supposed to do.. the premise of the researcher themselves... not some synthetic homogenized pabulum... but then I suppose "appearances" usually suffice...

Most are calling it AI... in publications and media.
"New" specificity of the matter in the headline makes my point for me...
sort of like how "COVID" was "novel."

We are simply transitioning from one Ponzi system to the next 'upgraded' version

They're paving the road to trillions for the techno-elite and for everyone else...

I read over half of everything posted to the Internet is AI generated now. AI has to be learning from the garbage AI has posted. It is garbage round and round now. It can only get worse.
