I live near the city of Worcester (Massachusetts). We pronounce it "wista" or "wuhsta". 
Of course that means wuhsta-sheer sauce.

I resent that comment about the Welsh language! As a Taff, I can tell you the only spittle flying is from anyone who is NOT Welsh trying to pronounce Welsh place names!
