That's racist

I know why they want them to vote, but if it’s the law to prove citizenship, or at least a driver’s licence with address to prove that you are legally eligible to vote then that’s that.

Why isn’t it the law? Make it f’in happen like the rest of the continent and move on. It’s not racism, it’s the law. Done.

If it’s hot, wet and sticky and it’s not yours, don’t touch it!

From PolitiFact.com:

Quote:A 2021 New York City law involving local elections gave voting privileges to noncitizens who are in the U.S. legally, but a judge struck down that law  in 2022 and it’s not in effect.

Noncitizens don't have the official right to vote but it does look like some New Yorkers support their supposed right to vote just because they are here.

New York is looking at a blizzard and doesn't have the man { or woman } power to deal with it, so they're hiring Average Joe to help. The only catch is : Emergency workers must bring 2 photos , 2 forms of ID and a Social Security card.

There may be Black or Brown people that need that job ! That's not fair !
They are downtrodden and in desperate need of extra money and The Man is keeping them down by asking for ID. They can't afford that !
That's discrimination.
That's racist.

Prove me wrong.

Shovelers didn't turn out for Mamdanis shoveling plan.
Some shoveling sites saw no one show up.
Others saw only some, but not the number needed.

Mamdani fails to attract shovelers

Quote:The Mamdani administration failed for hours to attract any emergency shovelers at one Queens garage Sunday — while planning to try to dig out New Yorkers with a fourth of the force the city used for its last mega-storm. Despite Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s widespread attempted promotion of the city’s public-fueled emergency shoveling program, a sign-up sheet at the Maspeth Sanitation garages was empty, city workers told The Post during a visit late Sunday morning.  “I haven’t seen anybody sign up yet today. No, no one,” the employee said.  There were also no signs of shovelers lining up for work at 299 South St. at a Sanitation garage on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Workers there declined comment to The Post.

Wait, wasn't he going to raise the minimum wage to $30 an hour ?

They're only offering $19.14

I don't touch a shovel for less than $25.

Sadly, if I had to shovel snow now... no one would want me to.

My ejection from this 'rat race' may appear from that perspective, a blessing...
not 'having to work' anymore...

just like all that money they took while I worked...
coming back to me is "their charity... free money."

Sadly, that's the media narrative. Nyuk nyuk.
