New York is looking at a blizzard and doesn't have the man { or woman } power to deal with it, so they're hiring Average Joe to help. The only catch is : Emergency workers must bring 2 photos , 2 forms of ID and a Social Security card.

There may be Black or Brown people that need that job ! That's not fair !
They are downtrodden and in desperate need of extra money and The Man is keeping them down by asking for ID. They can't afford that !
That's discrimination.

Only time I would see racism was if two people with the same qualifications, work history and such applied for a job and one was picked purely because of colour. It should also be the same for gender.

They're just shoveling snow, there's no need to go into someone's house and they're not going to let a bunch of rookies drive a snowplow or operate heavy equipment.

I usually don’t comment on US politics, but I have to show ID to vote in Canada. Mexican people have to show ID. What is the problem? If you don’t have proof of citizenship then you don’t friggin vote. Simple

Oh, and, the ID required includes a Social Security card, so in addition to excluding minorities, Mamdani is barring illegal immigrants.
