Putin tested Iran when Wagner Group went rougie. Irans failed to support Putin. He remembers and he knows that he can be trusted with Israel. I am sure he also remembers what happened in the early 1980's in Afghanistan.
He may play the game but IMO he will side with Israel.

The reporter Pepe with reference the the apparent Israel jet inbound to Iran wih a NUKE on 18Apr2024 and shot down provided an update stating that Russia didnt alert Iran nor provide intel to shoot the plane down. lt could be fictional but Pepe is considered a valid asset.
