Isn’t it their duty to defend our country from enemies both from without and within? If the commander in chief has been compromised and is being controlled by a foreign country is it not their duty to do something? Is the whole military industrial complex taken over by corrupt C_A? Are the evil billionaires like Soros, Gates and others too strong, intelligent, cunning, too imbedded that we cannot rout them out like ticks off a dog? Perhaps the end time story told in Revaluation of the Bible is now at hand and there is no good ending except for the Christian believers.
I have to point out that the duty to preserve and protect the country from enemies within and without also applies to most every federal employee. Most notably that includes every 'representative' (and by extension their political appointees,) every Federal Law Enforcement employee, every judge, and (gasp) every officer of the court. Our problem is not going to go away until everyone in the 'system' actually agrees on who is and who isn't an enemy of the state; or what constitutes a true danger.
Unfortunately for us, being a representative of the people is now, without a doubt, the single most profitable "profession" in the country. And most of them claim to be Christians... it seems to make no difference in the outcome. The political parties are the gatekeepers in this "duopoly from hell." That's where the weakness is... the political "parties." Everyone they foist upon us as "paragons of virtuous intent" seems interested in gaming the system, compromising for profit, and basking in media glorification nonsense. Some of these people will 'sell' your representation to the highest bidder - without hesitation or remorse...they would say "That's the way of the world."
High-ranking military leaders are of two fates after their careers in the service. "Sell your access" or "pursue life." Guess which ones want to save the country... the ones who left the machinery... (perhaps thinking it could take care of itself, as it always had until they left.) Few genuinely seek 'politics' as a future... and those that do are never prepared for the gatekeepers... or what they have to 'sell' to belong.
However, it is not without the potential for a good ending... most of the problem ideologues in the government will, someday, die or retire. And they can't possibly be a surplus of clowns and thespians of the caliber that we have experienced recently. They tend to destroy themselves, or each other. I doubt that, despite their best efforts, they can successfully keep this media production side-show as a 'working model' of governance.
