Jill Biden leads one of lame-duck husband's last cabinet meetings before hosting Rose Garden party without him (nypost.com)
Even people in DC are asking questions:
So I'm not sure what pisses me off more, the fact that Biden hasn't had a Cabinet meeting in over a year, or the fact that as soon as he does Jill Biden is now in charge. This is messed up, and the fact that this was just in front of everyone's face and no one is calling them out yet (anyone in DC that is, it appears that the media is yelling foul ball on this).
The Vice President must be sworn into the office immediately, as due process demands. Think on this carefully.
What do you think?... Partisan political "game changer" or what?
This is one time where "appearances" won't matter... and the "proof" will be in the actual "pudding."
(And no more "spousal surrogate" opportunities.)
If there were ever any evidence that the executive office is being run "by committee," it was right there, otherwise we have to pretend that it is OK that our President needs "mommy" to translate the language of "senile/afflicted" into "the leadership of the nation."
I think it's perfectly reasonable to reject the idea of this as "business as usual." And we have to 're-evaluate' the nature of every executive decision now, from the perspective of "who is making these decisions." The person "we" voted for?
Perhaps it's time to acknowledge, without outrage, without judgement, a simple reality.
Circumstances are demonstrating clearly, that our principle elected official can no longer function adequately to conduct the business of his office.
Our political leaders of old actually foresaw such a possibility... and established protocols and procedures to contend with this circumstance eventuality.
Do it, I dare you.
