All the documents were in English and were required to be.
All the schools taught in English.
All the road signs are in English.
77% spoke English primarily and most of the rest secondary.
It was just made official in a big way in 2025.
But it was always that way.
Yet Trump felt the need to make it official via an executive order.

Seems legit.

No ulterior motivations in sight at all...

Was it done "in a big way?"
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."
How come you all drive on the wrong side of the road?

Is it a French thing?
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

His approval rating is average.
Not bad.  Not good.   Just average.
As to him being afraid of being boo'd ...
that sounds like speculation on the part of the author
of what you read.    Generally he gets pretty good
responses from crowds at sporting events in the USA.

Nope.
This isn't Europe.
We don't have walk across borders.
3,000 miles from sea to sea.
All America.
For truckers to get a CDL they have to be able to read English signs.
And for a car/motorcycle drivers license you have to as well.

Bilingual Valley Girl Response:

Here in California there are many street signs in Spanish. Instead of calling it "Royal Road" it was called "El Camino Real".  It's not "River Road", it's called "Camino del Rio".

I also think about that time we rented a car in Yucatan. It's true.  When I got to the red and white octagonal sign, since I know Spanish, I knew it wasn't referring to any type of saxophone.

Depending on where you are, i don't doubt a foundational understanding of English may help.  Saint2

Can you post his latest approval rating?

Didn't he get booed at the US Open?

He got boo'd at the US Open.
He got massively cheered at the WWF and car races.
Depends on the venue.
At the SuperBowl ... could go either way.

As for approval ratings ... Most I see is low to mid 40s.
That's average for a POTUS.

Economist has it at 41%
HERE
CNN is at 39% (left wing)
Here
FOX on TV has it at 44% (right wing)
