South Korean president declared martial law across the country
#21
It seems once these types of people get that much power they can't let it go. It's both sad for the people and concerning that a seemingly democratic government is so fragile in it's foundation due to one person holding the power of the military.

What should matter here is now how he did it, but that he felt he could or should do it to protect his power. He is now considered a 'risk' and a 'greater danger' to the citizens of SK; there are consequences for actions even for those who think they are above the law. There are those that want him charged with treason which results in either life imprisonment or the death penalty; this isn't a political game.

Exactly.
He is part of the old boys school where they go in private networks and do things through favours but luckily I naively believe a lot of the world is trying to evolve into more transparency
