Thanks both of you -- much appreciated Smilegrin

I was trying to figure it out -- then had to leave in a hurry to get to the PO before early closure.  Issues of living on a dirt road.
Proof positive that 'criminal enterprise' where possible can, and will be used against society.... sort of analogous to 'the truth' in a court of law used against 'you.'.... in retrospect... I dis-align myself from that spurious comment.

The fact that they share any attribute is only material to their personal culpability... and now they will pay our society's price... but there was a lot of 'failures' that require more than a political committee to unravel... like why is this a 'possible' functioning 'tactic' in our society in the first place?

But... the media lives in the identity age... like petulant children... it's all about the "us" they are told to think we are.

And his supporters look the other way.

Why hold Trump accountable when you can go after Biden using an auto pen.  The horrors.

"Estimates of property damage from the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol attack vary widely: law‑enforcement and court filings put direct Capitol property damage in the low millions (about $1.5 million to $2.73 million) while a Government Accountability Office–style tally cited by House Democrats and news outlets places the broader taxpayer cost — including policing, investigations and security upgrades — at roughly $2.7 billion [sup][1] [2] [3][/sup]. Available sources do not mention comprehensive, comparable dollar figures for other recent incidents in the user’s query; comparisons depend on which costs (direct property damage vs. total public expense) are counted [sup]["[/sup]

How did the January 6 riot compare to other recent inc...

But look over there, not over here.

Property damage from Jan 6 protests are at about 1 to 2 million.
Property damage from BLM 'protests' are at about 2 BILLION (minimum- no follow up since 2020 hmmmmm)
Thats only a thousand times worse.  at a minimum.

Which one is called what it really was?  Which one is 'virtuous' ?

And . . . ?

What point matters here?  Is this a game of one-upmanship?

No it is called accountability.
Not re-naming and false virtue signalling and escaping logic and justice.

Because you Democrats/Liberals looked the other way on cities being destroyed to the tune of billions by Burn, Loot, Murder (BLM) and Antifa and are crying about a couple million on Jan 6th.

President Donald Trump commuted (not fully pardoned) Philip Esformes’ 20-year prison sentence on December 22, 2020, as part of a wave of clemency grants in his final weeks in office. This reduced the sentence to time served (about 4.5 years), while leaving intact supervised release, a $44 million restitution/forfeiture order, and the underlying convictions.

Post-commutation, the Biden DOJ initially sought to retry Esformes on hung counts from his original trial, sparking further debate over double jeopardy and presidential clemency power, but he ultimately pleaded guilty to one count in 2024 and received time served.

Well the point here is that government charity/social programs fraud is easy to do because there is no proper oversight of these programs, including past pandemic Covid19 and recent Medicaid, etc.

Anyone in your country can defraud the government given half a chance, no matter which party is in power.

Fraud felon Trump has to pay up now - a near corporate death penalty - restrictions on business deals - maybe his golf courses will be seized, almost a half Billion dollars.

Of course his supporters look the other way when the fraud is in their neck of the woods.
