Quote:Reports around Omar’s finances are not new, with her net worth jumping as high as $30 million first reported in late summer/early fall 2025 after her 2024 disclosure to the Clerk of the House of Representatives.
The publicly available documents showed that for several years, Omar had relatively modest personal wealth, and debts including student loans and credit cards. For 2022 and 2023, her net worth was listed as below $250,000.
The shift in wealth in 2024 largely came from businesses tied to Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, a former political consultant. The first, eStCru LLC, a California winery, was listed as worth between $1 million and $5 million, while Rose Lake Capital, a venture capital firm, was listed as worth between $5 million and $25 million.

Omar noted that she had an income of between $5,000 and $15,000 from the winery, and nothing from the venture capital firm.
The Minnesota Democrat married Mynett in 2020, but at the time his companies were not given such high value, in part due to lawsuits being fought around alleged fraud. Once settlements were reached, both companies saw a big jump in their worth.

It's a rumor or better known as a smear campaign. Wake up.

"According to a rumor that circulated in late 2025, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar's net worth increased by tens of millions of dollars after she took office in 2019.
For example, one X post (archived) about the claim read, "JUST IN: It has been revealed Ilhan Omar's net worth grew from negative $45k in 2019 to $30 million this year — despite her salary being just $174k/year.""

or

"Similar iterations of the claim circulated on X and in conservative tabloids like the New York Post and the Daily Mail, while a Snopes reader contacted us to ask if Omar's "stunning spike in net worth" could be attributed to her "husband's connection to a winery" or if there was more to the story."

Let's see so far the sources, are X and conservative news rags.

 Lol Lol Lol Lol Lol

People gonna drink her hubby's wine, ain't nothing that can be done about that.

But she is entitled to half of everything, so $30 Million? They must be worth $60 million together. Must be really good wine.

If you can provide evidence to the contrary, lets see it.

If not?

When a government white guys defraud the government, does anyone demonize the entire white community. Yeah, nah.

No one is demonizing any Somalians?? The only "demons" here are the people who pretend to work for the public administration and in reality they are running a billion dollars fraud scheme with tax payers founds.
I will stop you on your tracks everytime you post something that is obviously trying to shift the focus of the conversation, which you do often and with perseverance, because I think that you are not honouring meaningful and much needed debate.

What do you think of that? Something to say about not being honest in debate?
Here is an interesting article indicating the corruption situation may be more complex than I thought:

Quote:Investigators say DHS refused to fully help with failed day care fraud investigations

KARE 11 tracked four criminal investigations into alleged day care fraud over a course of four years. They all ended without charges filed and now there's a lawsuit.

MINNEAPOLIS — In August 2022, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) executed a search warrant inside a Minneapolis Somali-owned day care where they expected to find proof of fraud.

Sunshine Child Care Center was located in a small building behind a storefront on Lake Street.

According to BCA reports, Sunshine had received more than $9 million in taxpayer-funded Child Care Assistance Program money since it was first licensed to serve up to 48 children 11 years earlier.

And a DHS Investigator referred the case to the BCA because they suspected fraud.

The initial tip stated that the owner, Fowsiya Hassan, would only hire employees who have five or more children. Allegations like that are known to investigators, where mothers will essentially watch their own children at a daycare and get paid with taxpayer money.

But investigators also claimed to find evidence of overbilling.

According to the police reports, the daycare claimed to serve twice as many kids as it actually did while being surveilled.

Hassan's attorney says she didn't break any laws.

When asked if his clients fudged the numbers to get reimbursements for more kids than they were actually caring for, attorney Jason Steck answered, "No. And if they had, they'd be really foolish to be doing this, right?"

Steck filed a lawsuit on behalf of Hassan and another daycare owner, Abdikadar Mohamed, whom the BCA investigated at the same time. They are both claiming that state investigators discriminated against them because they are Somali.

"There's no indication that any other child care centers owned by any other group were targeted even for investigation," said Steck, who also questioned whether video surveillance actually occurred.

KARE 11 has reviewed full BCA reports from the Sunshine Day Care investigation and three other Twin Cities Somali-owned day cares.

All four of them were closed without filing charges. And in three out of the four, the lead BCA agent writing the reports partially pinned the blame on DHS -- the agency that first referred the cases -- for not sharing needed documents with investigators.

"DHS advised they would not provide any of the requested documents because they would be acting as an arm of the BCA," Special Agent Angela Garvey wrote.

A spokesperson for the Department of Children, Youth, and Families - which took over licensing of Minnesota daycares from DHS - shared this statement when asked by KARE 11 for a response to the allegations.

"State agencies work collaboratively to fight fraud in Minnesota. In doing so, agencies are vigilant in how they collect and share data to avoid jeopardizing prosecution," the spokesperson said.

The lawsuit filed by the two day care owners is active in federal court. The judge is currently weighing a decision after lawyers for the state filed a motion to dismiss.

First, it's an interesting argument that the cases should be dismissed because it's racial profiling—no non-Somali daycares were investigated. That would seem to give a legal advantage to racially-dominated cartels who monopolize the market, if that argument is given weight.

Second, the DHS argument that they would be acting as an aspect of the state criminal enforcement is odd. Is this an excuse for higher-level coverup at the national level? Or, is that really the case?

I was thinking that due to the endemic corruption, the Minnesota statement government should be replaced by federal military rule. And DHS should be given the power to act as a prosecution agency at the state level. But, if there's corruption with the DHS, which may be the case due to the Biden/Harris/Waltz influence in the past administration, how can that be rooted out?

Either way, Trump needs to move on utilizing Federal military and emergency powers to counter a foreign-aligned threat that has subverted state government. But his moves need to be legal and transparent. What's the best way to do that? The legal part is easy—he has the power—but do other agencies like DIA and the Pentagon need to get involved to ensure transparency? Trusting a possibly-subverted DHS alone would seem foolish.

The break-in comes in the aftermath of a viral video alleging fraud by several Somali child care centers.

A burglar broke into a Somali-run day care in south Minneapolis this week, leaving a trail of damage and debris and, workers say, stealing sensitive employee and client documents.

A cleaner discovered the wreckage at Nokomis Daycare Center Inc. around 6 a.m. on Dec. 30 before the facility opened, then quickly alerted management.

The break-in comes several days after a YouTube video by right-wing influencer Nick Shirley went viral; the video alleged that a group of day care centers operated by Somalis in Minneapolis has misappropriated “upwards of $100 million.”

Nokomis Daycare was not among the 10 centers featured in Shirley’s video.

The state Department of Human Services website says the facility is operating in good standing and is licensed to care for up to 71 children.

Nasrulah Mohamed, the business’ 20-year-old manager, said the breach has led to “immense fear” in the community, at a time in which the Somali diaspora is already under threat.

“We’re honest; We don’t do any fraud or nothing,” Mohamed told the Minnesota Star Tribune. “All this happened today — not because of the truth or the facts, but all because of fear and lies."

Already we're seeing blow-back from Trump's race-baiting. Does this sound like some crazy right-winger vigilante breaking in to try and "uncover the truth", ala Pizzagate? The sad thing is, with these employee and business records being stolen, the business owners are prevented from using them as evidence of their innocence and legitimacy. So doubts will still remain, which may have been the plan all along.

I think we're all savvy enough to be able to see though these games by now.
