*IF* Disclosure happens this may be the real reasonI have been following the subject for a very long time and I have been thinking about why the government appears to be softening their stance on disclosure and I think I have a hypothesis
IF and this is a big IF, the claims we are now hearing about how we are currently in an arms race to figure out how NHI technology works then disclosing that we aren’t alone may actually now be the best course of action the government can take, let me explain why.
One of the biggest problems they are allegedly facing is that everything in the project is so compartmentalized that one hand doesn’t know what the other hand is doing which makes it extremely difficult to make any real progress.
My thoughts are that by disclosing this would give them the ability to place somewhat less restrictions on the project which would enable more open communication between the different teams working the problem.
If authoritarian adversary countries like China and Russia do indeed have such technology that they are also trying to reverse engineer they have a significant advantage over a western country as they can force their best and brightest to work on the project while also forcing them to be completely cut off from any communication from their families and friends or anyone else for that matter that they are not authorized to talk to thus enabling them to have less red tape to get in the way of sharing their findings with other teams on the project.
Western countries do not have this advantage, we can’t force people to work on a project if they don’t want to and if they are told they will have to live isolated from the outside world and cut off all ties for an indefinite amount of time you’ll be getting a much smaller pool of people to sign up.
Additionally disclosing could potentially open up MUCH more funding to the project which would also greatly speed up the process, not to mention if they disclose that NHI is indeed real the defense contractors see that as a goldmine as there will be a demand to develop weapons to defend against alien threats.
Basically disclosure might be happening slowly but not because they think it’s the right thing to do, more so that they are being forced into it out of fear of falling behind adversary countries in the race to reverse engineer the technology.

French troops 'open fire' on unidentified "drones" flying over nuclear submarine base
QuestionFrench navy troops opened fire on unidentified drones over a military site housing nuclear submarines in the latest in a series of drone incursions into European airspace.
According to French news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), five drones were detected on Thursday night over the submarine base of Île Longue in Brittany, western France.
It is a strategic military site and home to nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines – a key part of France’s nuclear deterrent.
So once again we have unidentified objects flying over nuclear bases, which presumably are protected by radar, visual and infrared sensors. Yet once again - no evidence produced to show that these are conventional drones.
Is this Russia or something else?

Disclosure is a key sequence, as every individual who would be required to make it happen are holders of a key. Those people are some of the richest people on this planet.

To get all of those people to put their key in the "GO" slot seems like an impossibility to me unless they have all of their assets in a bug-out bag, and a ticket off this planet.

This may sound like a joke, but the logic is based on reality.
