While definitely an actor in this kind of thing, the Russians simply don't have the funding and means to run these kinds of operations overseas (in the US) They will typically act from some foreign location with a very small support group here. 

This has all the hallmarks of the CCP.  They have a massive network of "students" and patriots who are doing disruption on a large scale. A lot of it goes more unnoticed because they have very obfuscated supply networks and people networks due to the language difference and the contacts back home and through the consulate.

I don't think most people have a clue how many posts they see every day are created by these Chinese phone farms (hence the sim cards).  It's is often ordinary seeming content, but with millions of posts, they nudge things into the direction that suits them the most (often chaos or strong division is the goal).  It's also AI driven. The responses are highly tuned to the intended audience.  80% of extreme posts on both sides are CCP "bot" origin.  They have entire playbooks on how to stir up and guide the narrative.

Nearly every single Chinese student that comes here is asked by the consulate to "help" the motherland.  Many just sort of report mundane things periodically as part of the agreement, but many also see how lucrative their lives become when they start performing well.  

This has all been exposed in leaked documents from the CCP and planned in earnest starting in 2014. They regrouped their efforts in Jun 2024 the Public Security Bureau put out a directive, "Mobilize concealed agents to create and escalate the internal conflicts of Falun Gong, to expand nonstop the fighting strength, depth, and reach of social media influencers …they must attract the continuous attention of the entire United States society...influence’ local politicians in the United States, particularly on the issue of Taiwan.”

Tik tok is thick with this.  The whole platform was designed to get to know 'you' and slowly drop kibbles or drive you to more polarized thought.  Like hiking and travel? Suddenly you find yourself watching travel vlogs that highlight how clean and safe it is there, etc. etc.

That's a big operation that requires a huge bankroll. Follow the money, which probably goes through the laundry, then on to some shell corporation or business that seems to have a legitimate need for these "call centers" or whatever they would call them. It will get swept under the rug, is my guess.

I had read somewhere that the CCP had the intention of disrupting police, fire, and emergency coms. This coincides with the intel buzz that a large-scale coordinated terror attack on the U.S. is brewing. Al-Qaeda or the Taliban, one of those guys, is buying up official uniforms for a terror attack on the major cities. I might be confabulating all this stuff; I am getting old now.
