There may be multiple crowd fundings. Some may be scams playing off the attention.

GoFundMe has terms of service that prohibit fundraising for the legal defense of violent crimes and has shut down campaigns for that reason. Other platforms, such as GiveSendGo, explicitly allow it, stating that everyone deserves access to due process.

If the campaigns were based on a lie, in the US, you can report it to the Federal Trade Commission. IDK what that would be there. I would look at whatever platforms being used ToS and if fault found there make it known to the platform, they would have no choice but to refund to donors. Thats the process.

I wonder if the people donating money realise she will most likely be given legal aid if a solicitor is required.

I dont think they care and some may have their own agendas *hate for a specific group of people or for the government in general, you name it* its all craziness to me and why I limit my social civility to this lovely corner of a site I like to think freely I barely even youtube :) i just pick the topics that I think look interesting and throw my unsolicited two cents in with everyone else Never know where it leads but its a lot of fun!

All because the guy decided to post the video instead of restraining himself and just giving the video to law enforcement.

I dont think they care and some may have their own agendas *hate for a specific group of people or for the government in general, you name it* its all craziness to me and why I limit my social civility to this lovely corner of a site I like to think freely I barely even youtube :) i just pick the topics that I think look interesting and throw my unsolicited two cents in with everyone else Never know where it leads but its a lot of fun!

What should be done with the proceeds is give it to the local community centre if one is still left standing.

So they can use the funds to keep the kids off the streets and give them something better to do.

Other than roaming the streets mad with it, committing stupid, dangerous crimes, tooled up to the high heavens. 

And hassling other members of the public because of the colour of their skin.  

Because it does not end well for them as they get older.

And it's not the 90s any longer, this world remembers everything.

And there you go again.  You as an adult have to diminish a young girl that probably lives in an environment where she has to be “tough” to not be a mark and harassed.  You have to make her into something other than a teenage girl to live with yourself.

Added.  Even where I’m at there is till this stigma “I don’t trust a man that won’t have a beer or shot we me”.

And so are the people she hangs around drinking with and committing other crimes.

What they are clearly doing on camera, for all the world to see, including their own parents, is indeed uneducated and delinquent.

You know the guys only 21 and not too long ago was a kid himself, do you have any or can you relate to the 21 year old you? Albeit it is a different age now obviously its the age of uploading stuff like this but it takes wisdom to see the consequences of ones actions I dont expect every 21 year old that crosses my path to have learned that yet so maybe youre going a little too hard on this?

So.  Did a few mission trips to New Orleans.  Two were a year apart.

The first trip, a couple of young kids from our group wanted to explore one of the abandoned home left from the hurricane.  They found a dead homeless man.  That messed with them.  Makes you wonder what kids in the ward see each day if that was found by chance.  

Added.  The ward was more of a combat zone with casualties than what I would call a neighborhood.

All the homes had bars over the windows and metal gates over the doors.  

The second trip, they were finishing up the first house we worked on.  Trying to get the 80 year old widow in her home.  The first AC unit was stripped of copper.  The second AC with a cage had the cage cut and was again stripped of copper.  They finally had to place the AC unit on the roof.  Because real people suffering from abuse, neglect, and addiction were not in their right minds. Like a person lacking empathy because of psychosis or being a bigot.  But self induced.  

The lady was kind.  But that lady was tough and resilient in ways my late grandmother never had to be to live in the ward. My late grandmother would have never called that 80 year old widow in New Orleans a lady. And even something equivalent to a Ned.

You remind me of my judgmental late grandmother that wanted to cling to some imaginary class system.

In the context someone kept claiming he was filming for “evidence”.  Was reassured of that many times.  And yet the video ended up on social media, and I’m guessing therefore not handed over as actual evidence to law enforcement as part of an actual investigation.  

And it is fact, if the video was never posted online, it would never have became a viral mess.
