I believe it came into play when the dirty rapists called the girls white trash and said that non-Muslims are worthless while torturing and raping them. 

It would also appear that gaols are not full of the Pakistani perpetrators due to police failure to prosecute and widespread cover ups.

Bringing their race or religion into play simply donates ulterior motives.

And those ulterior motives generally involve wanting to spread hatred and/or racism.

People who commit these horrendous acts of depravity don't do so down to religious affiliation or race.

There were an estimated 250,000 UK girls subjected to prolonged abuse and rape since the 1950s. The groomers were predominantly of Pakistani origin (87-95%) (p 8) and often called family members over to participate in the abuse. Girls were impregnated, forced to have abortions, forced to convert to Islam, and trafficked.

Vulnerable girls, or neds, as people in this thread call them, were targeted because the perps knew no one would help them.

Police and social services returned girls to the homes of their abusers and called the (minor) girls prostitutes.

Girls were kept in cages, were drugged and abused, were admitted to NHS with STDs and injuries consistent with severe sexual abuse. 

Families were targeted or threatened for speaking out. 

People were afraid of being called racist, so they silently allowed the abuse to continue, in some cases over generations as the gangs targeted children of the women they abused as girls.

Labor and Conservative politicians enabled the abuse or were convicted of child sex offenses themselves (p147).

The only people afraid of being called racist are racist, or at least that's my experience, where most are concerned.

Again, it's not down to religion or race.

It's down to sexual deviants...

And it's about money and power at the highest levels.

I'm not talking about who commits the crimes. It's obvious to any person who has lived some life that sex crimes (though predominantly committed by men) are pervasive throughout any race or religion.

I'm talking about who is getting away with the crimes. And why.

The attitude to blame the girls and not the adults harassing them is part of it. I was wondering how they got away with it for so long, hence my comment on the previous page before you brought race into it.

I would agree to a certain extent where the likes of social work and police failed poor young girls in the Rochdale Grooming case...

But thats not the same up and down the nation.

As to how they got away with it so long, the same way Jimmy Savile or Fred and Rose West managed to dodge detection for so long.

They know the correct people, or they simply blend into society...

I lived in Govanhill when that was taking place, the authorities were made aware of kids being sold for sex in the area, and did little to nothing about it...

And the reason becomes plainly clear when you see who the customer base comprises...

It's not about race or religion, it's about money and power.

And those responsible come from all sorts of different walks of life.

Which makes it even more unpalatable and deplorable imho.
