RIP Francis

Pope Francis has died at 88 years old

Who will succeed him?

It is being reported that, according to "Vatican sources", Pope Francis cause of death is attributed to stroke, (causing?) cerebral hemorrhage, and heart failure.

Here is the thing, though.

As a defcto head of State, the Pope had access to the best medical care the world could provide. And yet, within days of being released from hospital for treatment of pneumonia, he dies of a stroke.

Twenty years ago I suffered a massive heart attack. My doctor put me on Plavix, a blood thinner, to keep me from having another heart attack, or a stroke. I was on Plavix for 2-3 years (unusual, cardiologist chalked it up to an "oversight"). Recently, I was put on Eliqust, which also serves to prevent strokes and heart attack.

My point being, given Pope Francis's medical history, doesn't it seem likely that he would have been on some medication that would have prevented him from dying due to the causes claimed?

As is often the case, I just find the "timing" of world-changing events like this a bit too coincidental.

Hopefully no one and they will disband.

RIP Pope Francis.

I didn't agree with him about many things, but he was a human being, and he did his best.

If it's Pietro Parolin then that would fulfil the St. Malachy prophecy of 'Peter the Roman' following Pope Benedict ... and it would verify what many of us believe that 'Pope Francis" was not authentically elected and wasn't really the pope.   It would mean that Pietro Parolin is the last pope before 'the end' ...

I did not wish him anything bad, but "Pope Francis"was a horrid pope.   He was a far left politician ... anti-free-market, anti-borders, and very much an anti-American bigot.  He once said he was 'honored' that Americans didn't like him.   I'd even go as far as to say that he was anti-Catholic in many ways.

Without the Church, maybe still just be a bunch of barbarians across Eurasia and Americas. Jesus helped Rome in its day fight for something. With the Bible the first mass produced book, all hand written back then, the best they had back then to find a better way.

Now the Bible has helped places like Russia and America become space faring nations. Helped many other nations around the world find a better quality of life. The lessons in that book, when we look after each other and work together achieves so much more than what we could ever imagine.

Some of those thought to be the leading contenders for new pope.

The UNSPOKEN rule is that the pope has to be Italian in some way.
Benedict wasn't.
"Francis" was .. both parents were from Italy and they moved to South America.

Pope John Paul II was my favourite Pope. He was a jovial and authentic Pope and incredibly knowledgable in both art and science. He was a maverick in the Roman Catholic faith, heck, he even made me consider turning Catholic!
After him, both Benedict (creepy) and Francis (yuk) took the Church in a wholly different direction.
However, may his soul rest in peace.
Now to the conclave. Let's see what direction the Roman Catholic Church takes its followers this time. I doubt it will be another John Paul sadly.

He used to sneak out of the Vatican and go skiing dressed in civilian clothes and disguise.

I'm not a fan of nostradamuss predictions ... but here ya' go ...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic...-dies.html

Supposedly Nostradamus may have predicted that the next pope will be black (or a darker skinned Latino?)

Quote:Writing in his famed book of prophecies, the astrologer wrote: 'Through the death of a very old Pontiff / A Roman of good age will be elected / Of him it will be said that he weakens his seat / But long will he sit and in mordant activity.'

Nostradamus also hinted at details of the successor of Pope Francis, writing, 'A young man of dark skin with the help of the great king will deliver the purse to another of red colour.'

He fought well, and by the looks of it was not the worst pope or a bad soul.

Rest in peace old man.
